Kelly will represent HK in the coming NHK Show in Japan to perform with other major singers from Asia. Unfortunately, the date clashes with the Outstanding Youth Awards Presentation. Kelly had finally made a decision to go to Japan for the performance instead.

Kelly explained that the award was given to the individual but the performance for the NHK Show was a representation of her country. Under these circumstances, representing Hong Kong is more important. Meanwhile, she has already got a person in mind to receive the award for her. Kelly remained secretive about his name but mentioned that it was him that set the path for her in her career.

Although Kelly did not reveal this important man in her life, the person is likely to be re-known image consultant Yee Chung Man. He was the one that gave Kelly the opportunity to film her first ad.

For her upcoming performance in Japan, Kelly had rehearsed a new dance. To Ayumi Hamasaki's poor attitude shown in the earlier performance in China, Kelly said that even though she has not met her, she believed that it was a misunderstanding. It was not her fault. She knows a little Japanese and there should not be much problems in communication.

陳慧琳缺席十大傑青頒獎禮

陳慧琳（ Kelly ）在十一月七日將代表香港出席日本 NHK 舉行的文化交流活動，屆時亞洲四十多個國家的歌手和媒體都會應邀出席，演出歌手包括濱崎步等紅星，不過當日碰巧是「香港十大傑出青年」頒獎典禮， Kelly 考慮後終作出取捨，決定赴日本出席交流活動。

奚仲文代領獎

Kelly 解釋膺十大傑青是代表自己，但日本的交流演出則以香港代表的身分，她說：「呢個情況下代表香港重要 o的，而傑青頒獎禮就由我生命中好重要 o既男人代我去領獎，呢個男人好神秘，係佢發掘我，令我踏出演藝事業 o既第一步。」

雖然 Kelly 故作神秘，大賣關子不肯透露其生命中重要男人是誰，但據知是美術指導奚仲文，當年是由他發掘 Kelly ，邀她接拍第一個銀行廣告。 Kelly 為了日本交流演出，特別排了一隻新舞作表演，對濱崎步早前在大陸演出中，其態度表現欠佳， Kelly 說：「雖然我從未見過佢，但我相信係一個誤會，我諗唔係佢 o既問題，我識少少日文，我諗大家會溝通到。」

Disturbance In Chengdu

Kelly was in Chengdu the previous day for a performance but an incident regarding her security fighting with the local reporters and pushing a fan down caused a displeasure to the public.

According to the China newspapers, the incident happened at 4 pm. When Kelly arrived at the hotel, large groups of fans who were waiting for her swarmed up and surrounded her car. After some difficulty, Kelly was finally able to come out of the crowd under the help of the securities. As the situation was extremely chaotic, a female fan had managed to get past the crowd and hug Kelly's waist. Upon seeing the fan standing beside Kelly, one of the securities immediately pulled her away. As he was probably too forceful, the fan was pushed to the floor and she started crying.

Just when they thought the troubles were over, when Kelly had returned to her room in the hotel, a local reporter was seen outside her room talking on his phone. The securities questioned him and without waiting for an answer, the reporter was slapped.

To this matter, the reporters called up Kelly's manager, Miss Chung. She sounded worried and said that she was unaware of the situation because she did not accompany Kelly to China. However, she added that Kelly was sad to hear that her fan was hurt in the crowd. Also, she stressed that there was no fight between the securities and the reporters and it was probably just a misunderstanding between them. A report had also mentioned that Kelly hid in the safety of the securities' armpits when the incident occurred. Miss Chung said that it was not possible as Kelly is too tall to hide beneath them. Prior to this, they had actually requested the securities in China not to hurt any of the fans.

Kelly, who was back in HK last evening, was asked on her confidence to regain her Most Popular Female Singer Award. She replied that she was contented with her Outstanding Youth Award and did not pin high hopes to get other major honors. So does that mean she will lax? "No", she said. She only does not want to give herself too much pressure.

陳慧琳訪成都引發連場衝突

陳慧琳（ Kelly ）與張信哲前日到成都演出「蓉城之秋音樂會」，豈料卻發生不愉快事件，保護陳慧琳之內地保安，涉打當地記者及推倒歌迷，引起公眾不滿。

據內地報章報道，事情發生於前日下午四時，當 Kelly 座駕抵達下榻之酒店時，數以百計於大堂等候的 Fans 一擁而上，把 Kelly 的座駕團團圍著，待數分鐘後，身穿咖啡色毛衣、頭戴紫色帽的陳慧琳，才能從多名保安及工作人員護送下離開車廂，緩緩步入酒店大堂。由於情況混亂，期間有一名女歌迷竟成功突破重圍，走近陳慧琳身旁攬著她纖腰，保安見狀，立即猛力地推開該女 Fans ，可能力度過大，該 Fans 即摔倒地上，事後哭個不停。

一波未平一波又起，當陳慧琳回到三樓房間後，成都一名記者在房門外講電話，保安見狀，即跑過去質問記者做甚麼，然後二話不說，便打了該記者一記耳光。

記者就以上事件，聯絡陳慧琳的經理人鍾珍，對於事件她顯得十分緊張：「因為我冇去成都，所以唔清楚來龍去脈，不過 Kelly 知道有歌迷被推撞好肉痛。而據我 o地在場同事所知，當日冇發生咩打鬥事件，可能係 o的記者同保安有些少衝突。話 Kelly 事後躲 o係保安腋下？絕對冇可能，佢有五呎八高，點可能匿埋 o係人 o地腋下呀！我 o地亦都想同梅艷芳一樣，呼籲內地保安唔好郁手打歌迷，唔好咁緊張。」

不覬覦女歌手獎

Kelly 昨日傍晚從成都返港，在機場被問到今年歌手成績各擅勝場，她可有信心重奪「最受歡迎女歌手」獎？ Kelly 說：「唔諗呢 o的 o野啦，羅 o左『傑青』唔諗『女歌手』囉，我個人好知足。（咁「世界傑青獎」呢？）都要俾 o的時間我啦，我出 o左道七年咋。」既然 Kelly 對「女歌手」獎項不寄厚望，豈不是會放軟手腳？ Kelly 則說：「咁又唔係，我只係唔想俾咁多壓力自己，而且今年羅『傑青』對自己同歌迷都已經有交代啦！」

Taking Body Measurements For The Mannequin

Kelly had once again beaten other hot contenders to emerge as the one to be selected to have her personal mannequin made by Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum.

During yesterday afternoon's press conference, the sculptor, Stephen Swales, had specially came to HK to take measurements for Kelly. The measuring process will take up to 2 hours and will take careful measurements of every part of her body. As Stephen was a guy, Kelly appeared cautious and protected her chests while he was showing to the press a demonstration on how the measurement is carried out.

Kelly later mentioned that she was extremely happy and honored to be selected as it is a good chance to leave memories of her youth. As she was aware that careful measurements of her body will be taken, she did a body scrub prior to this to remove dead skin on her body. She had also brushed her teeth twice to keep her mouth fresh.

When asked if she will request for a female attendant to take measurements on her breasts instead, she replied that it was needless to say and female attendants will definitely be around during at that time. Kelly has also revealed that the mannequin will appear in several different costumes that she had worn in her concert.

As to how she felt about beating Chow Yun Fatt and Maggie Cheung to be selected as the candidate, she said that the word "beat" should not be used as she was just lucky. She has no intention to strive for higher honors because she had never expect to win the Outstanding Youth Award and having a personal mannequin at Tussaud's.

陳慧琳雙手護胸度身造蠟像

陳慧琳繼榮獲「傑青」後，再擊敗周潤發、梁朝偉、張曼玉，獲倫敦杜莎夫人蠟像館香港分館邀請雕塑蠟像。之前應邀雕塑蠟像的亞洲藝人有成龍、楊紫瓊、鄧麗君、劉德華， Kelly 則是最年輕的一位。早前經過一輪網上投票， Kelly 終擊敗眾勁敵獲此榮譽。

在昨午招待會上，杜莎夫人倫敦總館雕塑師 Stephen Swales 專程來港替 Kelly 度身。是次度身花兩個小時，會仔細度身體每部分，挑選適合眼睛、頭髮、膚色。由於 Stephen 是男士，所以示範度身時 Kelly 似有所避忌將雙手放在胸前。

磨皮冲涼做好準備

Kelly 表示開心有機會雕塑蠟像，可趁年輕留倩影，覺得很榮幸。由於她知道每吋肌膚都要度，怕有死皮飛起，所以特別做磨皮。昨日又刷了兩次牙，用牙線清潔牙齒，令口腔乾淨。還有便是徹底冲涼。問到會否要求度胸時由女仔代勞免尷尬 ﹖ 她想不用講，到時自然會有女仔出場。她透露蠟像會選用演唱會造型，有多款服裝換。

問到打低周潤發、張曼玉等一事，她謙說不是打低，是好彩啫 ﹗ 下次目標是什麼 ﹖ 她說獲選傑青及蠟像雕塑都沒想過發生身上，一切聽天由命。

Personal Wax Mannequin For Kelly

After winning the Outstanding Youth Award, there was another good news for Kelly in that she was chosen by the international Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum to have a personal wax mannequin made specially for her. Kelly was the fifth Asian celebrity to have her mannequin placed at The Peak in HK after Jackie Chan, Michelle Yeoh, Teresa Teng and Andy Lau. Based on reliable info, after a round of voting, Kelly won by a large margin beating other hot nominees like Chow Yun Fatt, Tony Leung and Maggie Cheung. The museum's sculptor from London, Stephen Swales, will take Kelly's measurements to make the mannequin and select the eyes, hair and skin tone for the mannequin as well. The estimated time of completion will be April 2003.

Also, Kelly will be attending the NHK Show on 7 November and she is the only singer to represent HK to perform with Ayumi Hamasaki and other singers from Japan and Korea. Although there were some unpleasant happenings when Ayumi and Coco Lee were having the same performance, Kelly's manager was not worried that they will occur again. She explained that Kelly knows Japanese and is not sharing the dressing room with anyone. It should not pose a problem and she believed that it was just a misunderstanding last time.

When Kelly was at the press conference for TVB8 Awards Presentation held yesterday, she mentioned that she had celebrated with her family members and boyfriend after winning the Youth Award. She had received a lucky pendent from her grandmother, a red packet from her dad and a kiss from her mom. Kelly added that she is pleased with her performance and earnings this year. However, she will not indulge in property buying using her hard-earned money.

陳慧琳升級獲邀雕塑蠟像

陳慧琳（ Kelly ）剛榮獲「香港十大傑出青年」殊榮後，又接獲另一大喜訊， Kelly 被全球知名的倫敦杜莎夫人蠟像館邀請雕塑蠟像，乃繼成龍、楊紫瓊、鄧麗君和劉德華之後，另一位亞洲藝人的蠟像擺放在山頂香港分館給人參觀， Kelly 的地位顯然又升一級。據知，倫敦杜莎夫人蠟像館香港分館經過一輪網上投票後，結果陳慧琳以高票數勝出，撼低周潤發、梁朝偉、張曼玉等熱門人選，成為新一位獲雕塑成蠟像的藝人，而倫敦總館雕塑師 Stephen Swales 今日就會為 Kelly 度身、挑選眼睛、頭髮及膚色，預計需要半年時間製作，約於明年四月完工。

唔買樓買基金

此外， Kelly 將於十一月七日到日本出席「亞洲廣播聯盟」大型演出， Kelly 乃香港唯一演出代表，將與日本的濱崎步和韓國的「神話」同台演出，雖然早前李玟和濱崎步同台時曾發生不快事件，但 Kelly 經理人不擔心歷史重演：「 Kelly 識日文、又分開獨立房，唔會有問題，相信上次只係誤會。」

而昨日 Kelly 出席「ＴＶＢ８金曲頒獎禮」記者會，她表示日前已和家人、男友慶祝羅傑青，收到很多禮物，如女麻女麻送幸運石、爸爸送利是、媽咪送香吻， Kelly 坦言對今年成績和收入很滿意，但就不會買樓，她說：「之前買樓變負資產，為求穩陣都係買基金好，錢賺番 o黎有血有汗 o架。」

Keeping A Distance

Kelly had yesterday left off from HK to China for work. Kelly appeared extremely happy but when she saw reporters around, she immediately requested them to keep a further distance from her when taking her pictures because she did not don any make-up. This was Kelly's common practice as she is extremely particular about her looks and does not want to appear haggard on pictures. However, she was very polite to the reporters and waved to them before departing.

噚日機場星光熠熠，陳慧琳、黎明、林嘉欣、梁朝偉同古天樂分別出現離境大堂，離開香港。欏完傑青既陳慧琳，噚日精神好好，但係因為冇化妝，佢一見記者影相就雞咁腳走，重話：「遠ｄ影，遠ｄ影，我冇化妝呀。」唔好以為陳慧琳欏左傑青就特別顧個樣，其實佢不嬲都好怕人影到佢憔悴既樣。不過佢都好友善咁叫你唔好影大頭，臨走時重同記者講拜拜。

Love Poison Music Video

Kelly had recently filmed the music video for her new song Love Poison and to reenact the love troubles faced by modern people, the director had requested Kelly to take on both the male and female roles in the video.

In her radio interview, Kelly had mentioned that when she went for her second interview for the selections for the Outstanding Youth Award, she had to appear in the man's suit because she did not have time to change. Her appearance somewhat gave a shock to her interviewer.

Kelly had also revealed that after she got the Outstanding Youth Award, she had no plans to get married. She initially had thought about her marriage plans but the award has given her a sense of accomplishment to continue working harder in her career. Now that Kelly had attained the HK Outstanding Youth Award, does she have any plans to achieve the World Youth Award as well? Kelly laughed and said that this has never come to her mind. When further asked if the award will bring greater pressure to her brother, Victor, Kelly answered that he is still a newcomer compared to her who has been in showbiz for so many years. There was no necessity for him to rush. To Nicholas Tse's release, Kelly has hoped that he will learn to be more obedient in the future.

Kelly also jokingly said that the reason why she does not fall in love with the male actors she acted with in movies was because she is not fated with people and her body is full of insecticides. Furthermore, she is an extremely devoted person.

陳慧琳獲選「傑青」唔再諗結婚

陳慧琳（ Kelly ）日前為新派台歌《情毒》拍 MV ，為了描述世人都為情所困，所以 Kelly 應導演要求，以一人分飾男、女兩角拍攝。男裝打扮時， Kelly 英氣盡現，除以西裝配領呔外，更內穿低 V 領 T 恤，十分前衛。而女裝打扮，她亦極盡嫵媚，以背心及膝裙露出修長美腿，簡直「引死人」。

但最近才得「十大傑出青年」的 Kelly ，原來於第二次面試「傑青」當日，因拍這個 MV 而趕不及更衣，被迫以男性打扮面試，嚇了評審員一跳。

叫司翰唔使急

Kelly 昨日接受「茶煲裡的查篤撐」訪問時更透露得到「十大傑青」令她不再想結婚，她說：「我之前有諗過結婚，但而家得到獎項之後，令我更有使命感，更努力工作。」但對屬於更高殊榮的「世界傑青」， Kelly 卻笑言：「九年都冇諗過！」當主持人查小欣問她成就卓越，會否帶給細佬陳司翰壓力， Kelly 說：「佢仲係新人，我都等 o左咁多年，佢唔使急！」對於謝霆鋒獲釋，她說：「希望佢以後乖乖地啦！」

自言係絕緣體

此外， Kelly 接受「娛樂一早」訪問，被問到有否於拍戲時對男主角動心，她笑言：「我係絕緣體，冇人吼，全身都有殺蟲水，而且我有定力！」

Outstanding Youth Award

Kelly, who has been maintaining a healthy image, has recently set up her Educational Fund for children. Being actively involved in charity events, she was awarded the HK Top 10 Outstanding Youth Award.

Kelly was attired in a black dress during yesterday's press conference and her fellow partners in work like her manager, Miss Chung, her ex record company boss, Paco Wong, and friends like Yee Chung Man and Mark Lui were all present to gave her their support. While giving her speech thanks to her friends on stage, Kelly was unable to control her feelings and started to cry. The assistants had to hand to her some tissue paper to wipe her tears. When Kelly carried on saying that the success of "Chan Wai Lum" was produced by others, she broke into tears again. She later even asked if she looked awful when she cried.

Kelly revealed that when she received news that she had won the award in end of September, she was so excited and happy that she started screaming. The reporters asked her if the first person that she had told the good news to was her boyfriend? She replied that it was her mom and the second person was her dad. The third one that knew about it was then her boyfriend. She added that they are proud of her but her success was also due to the help from people. She hoped to be fully engaged in her work and to be determined. Also, showing concern to society is necessary so as to set a good example to teenagers.

Recently, there were some negative news of celebrities that reflected badly on them. To this, Kelly wished to try her best to inform present teenagers to first carry out their individual roles well, face their difficulties bravely and be determined in their work.

A recent article from a magazine mentioned that her boyfriend had urged her to get married and she was planning to retire soon. Kelly denied about this and said that it must have been a mistake made by the magazine. Both of them are now actively engaging in their work. Then has her boyfriend given her any presents? She said that he was poor and a meal for celebration was sufficient. To previous year's Outstanding Youth Award winner, Roman Tam, who is now extremely ill, Kelly hoped that he will be strong to continue despite his illness and that everyone will be around to support him.

陳慧琳獲頒傑青真情流露

一向形象健康，最近更設立了兒童助學基金熱心公益的陳慧琳，獲選為今年「十大傑出青年」，與年青苦學女導演黃真真同獲此殊榮。陳慧琳以二十九歲的年齡便獲「傑青」委實難得，而首位女歌手獲「傑青」則是陳美齡。由於昨天只是名單公布，獎項要到十一月七日才會頒發。

好友齊撑場

Kelly 昨日一身黑色套裝亮相甚為得體，她的一班工作伙伴如經理人鍾珍、前唱片公司行政總裁黃栢高、好友奚仲文、雷頌德等及提名人余錦基，都有前來支持她，當她一見到鍾珍已向對方做口型說 ﹕ 「好驚呀 ﹗ 」接着在台上致得獎感受時，她說 ﹕ 「我好開心青年商會頒這個獎給我，因為這個獎對我來說是自我價值的肯定，我會繼續努力做好社會公益事務，為社會出一分力，還有我要多謝父母、鍾小姐、仲文、阿 Mark … … ( 着便開始嗚咽 ) 及一班幫過我的朋友 … … 」 Kelly 坐在台上心情依然未平伏，一直飲泣，不停用紙巾抹眼淚，後來侍應更要端上一小碟紙巾放在她面前。向來是性情中人的 Kelly 在接受記者訪問時，談到「陳慧琳」其實是屬於大家發掘及培育出來，又忍不住再次落淚，然後問記者是否好醜怪。

得知獲獎開心大叫

Kelly 透露當她在九月底接獲此得獎消息時，她開心到失控大叫，記者問她第一個是否通知男朋友 ﹖ 她說 ﹕ 「唔係，我第一個通知是媽咪，之後是爹哋，第三個才是男朋友，他們當然為我而好驕傲，不過我本身成就是靠好多人努力幫忙，我希望自己對工作投入、不敷衍、有毅力、關心社會等等的做法，對年青一代有更好的正面信息。」

近期娛樂圈因有藝人做了一些對藝人很負面形象的事情，她說 ﹕ 「我希望盡我自己力量去告訴時下年青人，應該先積極做好自己，遇困難要面對，努力投入本身崗位。」

與男友食飯慶祝

對於有報道指其男友催婚，故她準備收山，但 Kelly 表示絕對沒有此事，一定是該周刊搞錯，因為她與男友都是年青人，目前正朝闖一番事業而努力。 ( 對方有否送禮物給妳 ﹖ ) 佢窮到燶，大家食飯慶祝就算。」對於身為傑青的羅文正病重， Kelly 寄語籮記 ﹕ 「意志力戰勝病魔，繼續撑住，大家會支持你、關心你的。」

Staying In Go East

Yesterday afternoon, Kelly had announced to the media that she will renew contract with Go East. There were rumors that the reason why Kelly was unable to go over to EMI was because Go East had made a 10 million dollar offer for her to remain behind. Kelly's manager had expressed that Kelly had renewed her contract at the same price that she was offered previously. As the economy is bad, being able to retain such a price is good enough.

Kelly has remained in Go East for 7 years and had released 50 albums during her stay. The main concern for this time's contract renewal is to broaden her career into the China market. She has also spoken with the new Go East's boss and her main focus will be on singing. She had received offers from Japanese and Korean film makers but are still considering whether to take them. As to whether her relations with her former boss Paco Wong had turned bad, she denied about this and added that she will not rule out the possibility to work again in the future.

During Commercial Radio's Intellectual Property Rights event, she mentioned that she will understand the nature of the show before accepting it. This time is an event on protecting intellectual property rights and she is very supportive of it. She will never sign autographs on her pirated albums.

陳慧琳舊價續約正東

陳慧琳昨正式公布續約正東。有傳 Kelly 過檔 EMI 不成，因是正東以高 EMI 一千萬的酬勞挽留 ﹖ Kelly 經理人鍾珍表示， Kelly 是以舊價續約正東，現在市道差，可以保持舊價已經很好了。

Kelly 稱出道至今七年，也是與正東合作，共推出了五十張唱片。續新約的重點發展是內地市場。她與正東高層洪迪曾會面作溝通，未來日子她會主力唱片發展。有日本與韓國電影邀演出，但她仍在考慮中。問 Kelly 與黃栢高是否關係惡化 ﹖ 她稱與黃栢高關係良好，不排除將來有合作機會。

不會為盜版唱片簽名

昨日陳慧琳出席商台宣傳知識產權的活動，她表示答應出席活動前會先了解性質，今次是維護知識產權，她絕對支持，她絕不會在盜版唱片上簽名。

Renewing Contract With Go East

When Kelly attended her press conference at the hotel yesterday afternoon, she saw her picture on the big banner displayed in the area. She did not seem to happy about it and frequently shook her head saying that the picture made her look extremely fat.

After Kelly's contract had ended with Go East, it was a major concern for most people. During the press conference, Kelly's manager made a slip of her mouth and hinted that Kelly will renew the contract with her old record company. The reporters questioned her if there will be a major press conference for her contract renewal. Her manager answered that they would rather leave the money to be spent on her album. She also added that there was no such events every time the contract was renewed. She finally told the reporters not to question her anymore . On the other hand, Kelly was secretly smiling while standing beside her.

陳慧琳續約正東成數高

陳慧琳出席在酒店舉行的記者會，當她踏入記者會現場看見大型壁畫上自己的肖像時，顯得十分不滿，搖搖頭地說了幾次：「張相好肉酸呀！」原來她覺得壁畫上的相片拍得她很肥胖。

Kelly 約滿正東後動向一直備受關注，她與經理人鍾珍一同出席活動時，不經意漏了口風，暗示會續約「正東」。記者問到屆時會否舉行盛大記者會宣布時，鍾珍說：「唔使啦，留番刋錢𨪛做唱片。次次續約都唔會搞記者會啦！（續約？）弊，都話講多錯多，唔好問我啦！」 Kelly 則在旁忍不住偷笑。
