Million Christian Dior Gown For Movie Premiere
 
For
Kelly's earlier trip to Cannes for "Breaking News" movie
premiere, she was there two days ahead of the schedule for
preparation. She was sponsored by Christian Dior for her gown to be
worn for the event. On arrival in Cannes, the organisers had
arranged for a car to pick her up and bring her to the boutique to
try out on over 100 gowns. The French designer had later hand-picked
8 suites for her and Kelly loves two of the gowns: the silver
mermaid gown and another the 50 pound crystal gown. On trying the
latter, she felt that it was too heavy and hearing the designer's
suggestion, she finally selected the silver gown. This silver
mermaid designed gown is priceless and only one of its kind and is
not available for sale to the public. On the night of the movie
premiere, Kelly was the most glamorous star and her accessories,
handbag and shoes were all allocated to her by the Dior staff,
costing over $2 million. A bodyguard was also assigned to Kelly to
protect her along the way.

Relationship Between Kelly And Simon Yam
Johnny
To's movie "PTU" had swept 3 major awards at this year's
Golden Bauhinia Awards, including Best Actor by Simon Yam and Best
Supporting Actor and Actress by Lam Suet and Maggie Siu
respectively. They had once again made cameo appearances for his
latest movie "Breaking News".
This
time, Simon Yam gets promoted and plays Assistant Police
Commissioner and also Kelly's superior. Both of them have a love
relationship and because of this he had helped Kelly to rise up in
rank. Also, he let Kelly to be fully in charge of the operation to
make use of the media to capture Richie Ren. As for Maggie Siu, she
plays Public Relations of the Police Force In-Charge, assisting
Kelly in the capture operations.
The
use of the previous crew from "PTU" in Breaking News was
also to carry on its good response of the earlier movie in the
Berlin Film Festival.

Prosperity To All
Kelly
was earlier in the Peony Festival show at Luoyang, singing and
dancing in front of a crowd of 30 000. During the show, Kelly had
said that peony will bring prosperity and she hopes that everyone
will have a prosperous life at this time where the peonies bloom.
Kelly
has a liking for flower arrangement and whenever she is free, she
would go to Mongkok and buy flowers for her home. She also grows
several plants at home as she feels that it relaxes her mind and
relieves her stress when she sees the plants.

From Cannes
After
attending the Cannes film Festival, Kelly had took the same flight
with Tony Leung to HK. As to whether she had consoled Tony for his
lost of the Best Actor Award, Kelly replied that she had not thought
about this. She had not bought too many things in the trip because
her schedule was tight and most of the stuff were too expensive.
Part
of the ceiling in Paris airport had collapsed and Kelly was asked if
she was worried that there would be a delay in her flight schedule.
She replied that everything was normal and she did not even know
about the incident until she was at the airport. She was not
frightened but was even curious and wanted to have a look. However,
she was unable to do so because she was in a hurry to board the
plane.

Elegant
Look At Movie Premiere
The
movie premiere for "Breaking News" was held yesterday
morning HK time. The movie had received good comments and there was
a long applause lasting for almost 10 minutes from the audience
after the movie ended. This was Kelly's first appearance at Cannes
Film Festival and she had worn an elegant Christian Dior silver gown
for the walk on the red carpet, catching the attention of the media.
Before
that, Kelly had reminded her manager to take more pictures for her.
This was because she was unable to carry a camera around. Kelly, in
hand with Johnny To, had stood patiently for the HK media to
take photographs.

In Movie Role
Kelly
and Johnny To were in Cannes to promote their new movie
"Breaking News". At the movie premiere, the attendance
rate was about 80% and the movie had received good comments.
In
a later interview at the beach, Kelly spoke of her character in the
movie. She said that Inspector Rebecca is selfish and will resort to
underhand methods to rise up in position. It was not an easy role
for Kelly but she accepts new challenges in her movie roles. She was
also honored that this movie was selected to be screened at the
Cannes Film Festival.

As
Wong Kar Wai's "2046" was unable to reach Cannes in time
for the premiere, the screening schedule for other movies was also
affected. "Breaking News" was carried forward while Maggie
Cheung's "Clean" was forced to be cancelled.
The
director of "Breaking News", Johnny To, had reached Cannes
and Kelly was there earlier to try out eight suit of gowns from
Christian Dior for the movie premiere. She finally selected two
unique one in the world gowns; one is a strapped gown and another a
50 pound diamond dress. However, Kelly still had a problem to settle
on which one yet.

Frightful
Experience
Kelly
had finally arrived at France yesterday afternoon to promote her
movie. On her arrival, a male foreigner had even rushed up and
wanted to take a picture with her. However, the man's hand started
to wander around Kelly's back and made her really frightened. She
cried for help from her manager and she was immediately pulled away
by Miss Chung.
Her
first stop over was at Christian Dior's boutique to select a
suitable gown for the premiere. Kelly's smile finally returned when
she was at the boutique after her earlier frightful experience.

Good Show
Kelly
has a great change in her movie character which is usually
weak-willed and this time, she plays a courageous police inspector
who makes use of the media to catch the criminal. This is also to
help the police save its reputation after they had failed in their
task. In the movie, Kelly has a dialogue in which she assures that
it will be a good show. This had brought a start to a pit of wits
between the police and the criminal played by Richie Ren.
This
was the first time that Kelly had worked with Johnny To, Richie Ren
and Nick Cheung. Earlier, the media had reported that Kelly was
frequently scolded by the director. She later explained that it was
not the case and the director had viewed all of them as being
professional actors. Kelly was most nervous when she filmed the
ending part as it concerned a car pursuit and several cross fire and
explosion scenes. She had to maintain alert at all times even though
she had rehearsed the scene for two days.
Also,
Kelly had recently attended a Samsung show event and was presented
with the latest model of a digital camera. This came to be handy for
her to bring to Cannes to take photos as momentos.

Sexy Dressing For Cannes

Ambassador, Kelly Chen, was at the rural parks yesterday morning for
Samsung's Tree Day. The weather was cooling and although Kelly had
to take a 30 minute walk to reach the destination, she did not pant
or perspire much. Unexpectedly, this was Kelly's first experience
for a walk by the mountain side after she had entered show biz. Even
though she was worried to slip and sprain herself or to step onto
dung, the walk was a relaxing one for her as she could enjoy the
fresh air. They had later planted over 500 tree seedlings and in the
next 3 years, another 10 000 would be planted in the vicinity.
Kelly
would travel to Cannes this week for the Film Festival. On Gong Li's
sexy dressing in the opening ceremony, she exclaimed that she was so
gorgeous. Would she follow suit and also appear in something sexy?
Kelly replied that it was most important to suit the body shape of
each individual. She wanted a dress that appears trendy and grand.
She would choose the gowns and accessories prepared by the
organisers. However, she would also bring along a gown herself in
case if those available for selection are too sexy.
What's
the extreme of Kelly's dressing? She laughed that there would not be
any low U or low V cuts and would only have a horizontal I. She
added that her initial dreams to see Brad Pitt in the Film Festival
was gone because he had already appeared last week at the red
carpet. Thus, she had no idea on who she would be able to see then.
She would set off earlier to Cannes to enjoy the spa and facial
treatment provided by the organisers.

In Filming
After
the earlier success of her two Regalia Bay music specials, Kelly was
invited for the third time to starr in another series. This time she
pairs up with Alex Fong and Kelly acts as a interior designer in
charge of the design for an apartment. During then, she get to know
Alex and they fell in love.
During
the filming, Kelly had persistently asked Alex questions regarding
his love life. This had made Alex very embarrassed. Was Kelly
interested in him? No, Kelly was only doing what was required in the
story. She laughingly explained that her character is very serious
in her work. Before she designs for her clients, she would have to
know their details so as to come up with one that suits their
personality. If Alex is one that brings his girlfriend home, she
would have to design the decor to be more romantic.
In
one of the scenes, Kelly and Alex were having an indoor picnic and
they had red wine with their meals. Upon seeing the fruit juice used
for the filming, Kelly had some fear. This was because during the
first music special, she had drunk a glass of artificial wine that she had
assumed to be without alcohol content. However, she started to get
high and this frightened the working staff. This time, she had
learnt to be smart and only made a small sip so that she will not
make a fool of herself again.

講 述 Kelly 與 方 中 信 在 家 中 玩 室 內 野 餐 ，

道 具 果 汁 ， 就 有 點 兒 害 怕 ， 因 她 在 拍 攝
第 一 輯 時 ， 飲 了 一 杯 以 為 沒 有 酒 精 的

Regalia Bay Music Special
Kelly,
together with Alex Fong and Shirley Yeung had earlier filmed a new
music special series for Regalia Bay. Alex plays an owner of a hotel
and Kelly plays a interior designer as well as his love interest.
Shirley takes on the role of Kelly's assistant.
The
story describes that Alex was unable to find a suitable designer for
his house but finally he decided to engage Kelly. Initially, both of
them had some misunderstanding but in the end, Kelly was touched by
Alex's sincerity.

Kelly's
Visit To The Filming Studio
Victor's
birthday was last week and coincidentally falls close to Mother's
Day. As such, Kelly's family had set off to Shanghai to pay him a
visit as well as to celebrate the occasion. Kelly was sad and had
felt strange to see her brother bald. She had even described him to
have travelled to another time.
Actually,
Kelly had earlier seen a video footage showing Victor having his
hair shaved. She was then worried for him as it will take a long
time for his hair to grow back to normal length. Upon seeing him in
the filming studio in ancient costumes, she had felt happy instead
and kept praising that he looked handsome. As Kelly did not have the
experience of filming a period drama, she took this opportunity to
get some tips from her brother.
Kelly's
birthday gift for Victor is a digital camera and the two siblings
had went around the studio posing for pictures.

International School
With
the support of the MTR Corporation, ads in light boards for Kelly's
English educational comics "Kelly International School"
were placed in all the train stations. After the ads were released,
Kelly's education fund received many daily enquiries. One of them
had even misunderstood that Kelly International School is a real
learning institution. The family is from abroad and the parents
would like to arrange their kids to study in an international
school. However, they were put off because of the high school fees
and they had thought that they could apply for a place at Kelly's
school for their children to study. The volunteer workers of her
education fund had taken their details and provided them with help.
Kelly's
charity fund has been set up for 2 years, providing financial help
to students from poor families. Another scheme involves imparting
knowledge to people with the help of several charity associations.
There are over 10 activities organised for this scheme and the
number of participants is closed to 10 000.

Set For Cannes

Asia's big movie "Breaking News" uses director, Johnny
To's, idea of a 10 minute scene completed in one take and had
abandoned the usual editing work in many movies.
Besides
being a fresh idea for a one take scene, this could express realism
to the cop movie. For this scene, the production team had invited
the cameraman of "The Lord Of The Rings". He had later
declined because he did not have the confidence that he would be
able to produce what the director wanted. However, Johnny To did not
give up and finally decided to engage a local cameraman's help. The
team rented a 160 metres long rail for the shooting as well as a 25
metres high crane to capture the scene from different angles.
The
crew and the actors were anxious about the 10 minute scene and the
actors had appeared in the rehearsals, although they did not have
to. This was because none of them wanted to commit any mistakes for
this important scene and they had cooperated to attend the
rehearsals.
"Breaking
News" has been selected as one of the movies to be screened in
the upcoming Cannes Film Festival and the director, together with
casts, Kelly and Nick Cheung, will be attending the premiere at
Cannes. As for Richie Ren, he had to miss this rare opportunity
because of his concert in Beijing.

片 的 界 限 ， 起 用 了 一 個 新 鮮 的 「 十 分 鐘
一 Take 過 」 的 拍 攝 手 法 ， 放 棄 了 一 貫 的 剪
接 加 工 。
這 個 一 Take
過 的 拍 攝 手 法 新 鮮 之 餘 ， 更 能 表 現 警 匪
現 場 鬥 智 的 真 實 觀 感 。 為 了 這 個 的 特 別
拍 攝 手 法 ， 製 作 組 曾 專 誠 邀 請 拍 攝 《 魔
戒 三 部 曲 》 的 攝 影 師 來 港 親 自 操 刀 ， 但
經 研 究 後 他 推 辭 了 。 原 因 是 他 本 人 亦 沒
有 十 分 把 握 能 做 到 導 演 的 要 求 。 但 「 阿
杜 」 未 有 因 此 而 放 棄 ， 最 後 決 定 起 用 本
土 攝 影 師 擔 任 。 與 此 同 時 ， 製 作 組 為 要
達 到 導 演 的 要 求 ，史 無 前 例 的 租 用 了 一
百 六 十 尺 的 拍 攝 軌 道 ， 上 高 達 二 十 五 呎
的 重 型 吊 臂 去 捕 捉 不 同 角 度 。
這 個 十 分
鐘 直 落 拍 攝 手 法 ， 除 製 作 組 緊 張 之 外 ，
演 員 亦 同 樣 緊 張 。 本 來 導 演 和 製 作 組 拍
攝 前 之 綵 排 ， 各 演 員 無 須 現 身 。 但 三 位
主 角 陳 慧 琳 、 任 賢 齊 及 張 家 輝 不 想 出 錯
， 主 動 配 合 綵 排 工 作 。
《 大 事 件
》 已 獲 康 城 影 展 作 為 觀 摩 作 品 ， 導 演 杜
琪 峰 將 與 陳 慧 琳 及 張 家 輝 共 赴 康 城 ， 出
席 在 康 城 舉 行 的 《 大 事 件 》 首 映 禮 。 「
小 齊 」 則 因 要 在 北 京 開 演 唱 會 而 未 能 出
席 ， 他 亦 感 到 可 惜 。

Games Ambassador
Kelly
was invited as the ambassador for The Chidren's Play Association
medical games and she will have to take on the responsibility to
promote them and to let the public be aware of its importance to
help children with prolonged sickness.
Kelly
had donated several thousand Kellyland items for sale to raise funds
for the association. On the event, she had received a 8 million
insurance policy from a company to cover her for all events for The
Chidren's Play Association as well as her own education fund. The
beneficial will be to Kelly Chen Children Education Fund.
After
the event, Kelly proceeded to the airport to fly over to Shanghai
with her father to meet up with the rest of their family. They had
booked a table at a restaurant to celebrate Mother's Day as well as
her brother's birthday. Kelly had expressed that she had earlier
given an air ticket to Shanghai to her mother as Mother's Day gift.
She also happily mentioned that her mother had seen many antique
bowls during the Shanghai trip. Besides having a gathering with her
family in Shanghai, Kelly will also need to attend to work as she
was the judge for an idol contest organised by Universal Music.
During
the middle of May, Kelly will travel to Cannes to attend the film
festival as her new movie "Breaking News" was one of the
films selected to be screened. She is currently looking out for a
gown to wear for the ceremony. As to whether it will be sexy, she
answered the front part of the gown will definitely not reveal her
body but there could be a possibility of her baring her back.
However, it will be best that she does not have to be sexy because
she feels that being natural is beauty and it is unnecessary to over
emphasize on certain areas. Her greatest wish is to be able to see
Brad Pitt but she does not intend to ask for a picture taken with
him as it will be embarrassing. She will be contented to see him
from afar.

In
a poll conducted by Commercial Radio, Kelly, together with Jacky
Cheung, Andy Lau, Twins and Lisa Wong, were selected as the top 5
favourite celebrities of mothers. This year's Mother's Day, Kelly
had went overseas with her parents to visit her brother in Suzhou.
There, the whole family celebrated Mother's Day as well as her
brother's birthday. Kelly had also specially made a card for her mum
adding hearts and three kisses for her.

On
the morning of 1 May, Kelly, together with Eric Tsang and Bowie
Tsang, had arrived at Dalian for an opening ceremony of a shopping
complex. All 3 of them had praises for the beautiful surroundings in
Dalian and hoped to walk around the area even though they were tired
from the overnight plane journey.
Later
at the press conference, Kelly expressed her delight on becoming the
Most Popular Female Singer at the CCTV Music Awards. Being the only
HK singer to receive an award for the event, it indicated that she
is well-received by the fans in Mainland China. Over the years, she
had switched song styles from ballads to dance tracks and received
the support of many fans. This had made her to work even harder. She
is busy currently recording her Cantonese album and will be released
in summer. She had also hoped that her fans will like it.
Besides
her singing career, Kelly has also lately ventured more into movies.
Her role as the psychiatrist in "Infernal Affairs 3"
received good comments. Recently, she had just completed Johnny To's
new movie "Breaking News" acting as a police
superintendent. As the movie character is different from herself,
she got help from the director to adapt to this new role.
With
a new album and movie on the way, little wonder that even Kelly's
manager had claimed that it is not an easy job to handle. However,
she was happy with this hard work as it proved that Kelly is

In HK For Richie Ren's Concert
Richie
Ren's Live in Concert in HK opened on Friday night with special
guests Kelly, Miriam Yeung and Kenny Bee. Kelly had specially
returned to HK for half a day to appear in Richie's concert. Upon
reaching the airport, she had rushed off to the coliseum. After her
performance, she had to fly off again to Dalian for work.
Before
introducing Kelly on stage, a teaser for their new movie
"Breaking News" was played. Richie then laughed that it
was a pity that the movie director had not arranged for them to kiss
in the movie. However, he will now have the chance to hug Kelly
after inviting her as guest. Kelly had also made a joke that she is
still healthy and SARS free although she had just returned from
Beijing.
Besides
being the guest for the concert, Kelly had also brought good news to
Richie that their movie was selected to be screened in the upcoming
Cannes Film Festival. Both of them even did a rehearsal for their
appearance for the stars entry on red carpet for the film festival
on stage.

Beijing Music Awards
Kelly
was earlier in Beijing to attend the music awards presentation held
by China's Central Television (CCTV). This is China's largest scaled
music awards and the TV station boasts a 1.2 billion strong
audience. For this year's music awards presentation, the number of
participating votes reached a new record high of 45 million. Kelly
was the only award winning HK singer and she managed to clinch the
HK/Taiwan and Overseas Region Most Popular Female Singer Award.
Kelly had claimed that she had previously got a number of female
singer awards but this time was much more special as it was an
international award.
Receiving
the award on stage, Kelly was praised by the host for being an idol
as well as a skilful singer. The host had even revealed that Kelly
is his dream lover and had made her blushed.
For
the past two years, Kelly had been concentrating in her singing
career in Mainland China and had been to over 40 provinces for
performances. Kelly had mentioned that she had bought a map of China
and whenever she had done a performance in each place, she would
draw a circle on the region. Now, the map is almost covered fully
with the circles. Her wish would be to travel to more different
places in the future to meet fans.

最 受 歡 迎 女 歌 手 獎 。 男 歌 手 獎 由 周 杰 倫
獲 得 。 Kelly 稱 過 往 獲 得 不 少 歌 手 獎 項 ，
但 中 央 電 視 台 頒 給 她 的 女 歌 手 獎 是 全 國
性 的 ， 特 別 有 意 義 。

， Kelly 努 力 發 展 內 地 市 場 ， 先 後 到 過 超
過 40 個 省 市 參 加 演 出 與 宣 傳 。 她 稱 兩 年
前 買 了 一 幅 中 國 地 圖 ， 每 到 一 個 地 方 她
便 在 地 圖 圈 上 ， 現 在 地 圖 已 圈 得 滿 滿 了
。 她 希 望 到 更 多 未 到 過 的 地 方 與 歌 迷 接 觸 。
