Teaching
English Through Comics
Kelly
wants to be a teacher and improve the English standards of younger
generations. This time, Kelly uses comics to teach English and
together with the comic designer had came up with 3 characters. It
will be set in the Kelly International School and English will be
taught in the daily school life. During Kelly's earlier trip to
Korea, she has not forgot to look through the local comic production
for ideas. She was also deeply involved in the production work of
her comics. The comics will be printed in newspapers and planned to
be published as a book at the end of the year. The proceedings will
then go to her Children Education Fund for charity uses.

今 次 Kelly 透 過 漫 畫 形 式 教 英 語 ， 她 與 漫

慧 琳 兒 童 助 學 基 金 」 作 慈 善 用 途 。

Baggage For Spain Trip
Yesterday
night, Kelly had set off for Spain to shoot the pictures for her new
album. She had expressed that her fans had given her feedback that
they liked the pictures that were taken in Greece for one of her old
albums. Also to beat piracy, the company has decided to increase the
cost in production to have the pictures taken abroad. This time,
Kelly has brought 3 baggage containing almost 50 different suits of
clothes and 20 pairs of shoes. The clothes are mainly shorts and
mini skirts. Kelly said that they are mostly lively looking and not
intentionally sexy. Kelly's trip to Spain meets the bull-fighting
season and she has hoped that she would be able to take a
picture with the bull. As the crime rate in Spain is rather high,
she has bought travel insurance for her baggage.
Victor
was recently back from Taiwan and Kelly had taken a meal with him.
Although Kelly was sad that Victor had lost much weight due to his
work in Taiwan, she felt that it would make him look better on
screen. Kelly added that Victor would sign a contract with Decca
Records in Taiwan. As for HK, it still remains to be decided. Victor
will be staying in Taiwan to film a drama serial. Even though Kelly
had once acted in a Japanese drama serial, she is not keen to film
another in HK. She would rather spent time holding more
concerts.

班 牙 拍 攝 新 唱 片 封 套 ， 她 表 示 因 上 次 到
希 臘 拍 封 套 大 受 歌 迷 喜 愛 ， 又 為 打 擊 翻
版 ， 所 以 要 落 重 成 本 。 她 預 備 3 箱 服 裝
， 大 約 有 50 套 配 襯 服 飾 ， 20 對 鞋 ， 服 裝
以 短 褲 、 短 裙 為 主 。 是 否 大 走 性 感 路 線
﹖ Kelly 稱 ﹕ 「 服 裝 比 香 港 性 感 ， 都 是 以
活 力 為 主 ， 不 是 刻 意 性 感 。 適 逢 西 班 牙
鬥 牛 節 ， 希 望 可 以 同 隻 牛 影 照 。 」 西 班
牙 治 安 不 太 好 ， 她 已 買 重 旅 遊 保 險 。
Kelly 的 弟 弟 陳 思 翰 從 台
灣 回 港 ， 她 表 示 有 同 他 食 飯 ， 弟 弟 在 台
灣 拍 劇 幾 個 月 ， 整 個 人 消 瘦 不 少 。 她 覺
心 痛 之 餘 ， 認 為 上 鏡 瘦 一 點 是 好 事 。 她
稱 弟 弟 將 會 和 台 灣 福 隆 續 約 ， 至 於 香 港
則 未 有 定 案 。 Kelly 指 陳 思 翰 會 留 在 台 灣
拍 電 視 劇 ， 她 曾 客 串 日 本 電 視 劇 ， 但 揚
言 不 會 在 港 拍 電 視 劇 。 她 說 ﹕ 「 唔 好 啦
﹗ 寧 願 開 多 幾 次 演 唱 會 了 。 」

Care
For Her Mannequin
During
yesterday's radio interview at RTHK, Kelly had expressed that she
was satisfied with appearance of her wax mannequin. It was so
life-like and had even gave her a scare when she first saw it. Her
mannequin was even donned in her shorts she had used in the concert
for precautionary measures! Is Kelly afraid that the figure will be
molested? "It is better to touch the figure rather than
me", she said. On the other hand, her father felt that the skin
color does not resemble her so much.
The
figure will be changed frequently to follow Kelly's image. Kelly
will later go to Spain to take pictures for her new album. She will
don a bull fighter's outfit and take close pictures with the bull.
However, for safety reasons, she has changed her plan to wear white
instead of red.

我 ， 但 大 家 提 起 ， 可 能 真 的 摸 。 不 過 爸
爸 稍 嫌 膚 色 不 太 似 ， 而 蠟 像 會 跟 我 轉 形
的 ， 我 轉 髮 型 它 都 會 轉 。 」 稍 後 有 什 麼
工 作 ﹖ 「 會 到 西 班 牙 拍 攝 唱 片 封 套 ， 會
穿 鬥 牛 服 落 鬥 牛 場 ， 同 牛 隻 近 距 離 影 相
， 不 過 為 安 全 計 會 改 穿 白 色 衫 。 」

Kelly's
Filipino Maid
For
yesterday evening's show for medical personnel, all singers were
given an official T-shirt to wear during the performance. Kelly's
Filipino maid had helped her to make alterations for the T-shirt.
Kelly had added that whenever her sponsored outfit does not fit her,
her maid will make the alterations for her. They are all done
extremely well and beautiful!
Besides
doing sewing of clothes, her maid is also proficient in making
dolls. Sometimes, Kelly will design her own outfit and left them to
be tailored by her maid. Does Kelly make clothes for her boyfriend?
No, she has not given him any gifts. Does Kelly's boyfriend only
want her? Yes!
陳慧琳搵菲傭改衫
昨日陳慧琳（Kelly）穿上大會的T恤，內裏再穿上背心，她表示有將大會的T恤改裝，但自己不會着得太性感。Kelly說：「其實係我屋企個菲傭改嘅，佢好勁㗎！我唔使佢煮飯，淨係改衫就得啦！」Kelly坦言有時贊助商提供的服裝不合身，也是搵菲傭搞掂。她說：「佢修啲邊真係好靚㗎！」
事實上，Kelly的菲傭會縫製衣服和牀單給她，她說：「佢連公仔都識做㗎！」有時Kelly亦會親自設計服裝款式，再交由菲傭操刀。那麼可有做衫給男友？她說：「冇呀，都冇送禮物畀佢。（佢乜都唔要，淨係要你？）係呀！」

Ahead To Hong Kong
Yesterday,
Kelly had attended the launch of 'Hello from Hong Kong' e-card
service, and together with the commissioner and various ministers of
HKSAR. Kelly was later introduced to the commissioner as a popular
singer who was also selected to be the philatelic ambassador this
year.
Kelly
had said that her e-card was sent to her Korean singing teacher. She
had came specially to HK to oversee Kelly's album recording despite
the SARS outbreak. Kelly added that she would put the e-card on her
web site (which has an average daily hit of six hundred thousand) so
that her fans all over the world can see it.
Kelly
has also planned to travel to Spain to take the pictures for her new
album as well as the music videos. After her stay there, she will
return to HK before setting off for Taiwan. Although Kelly will have
to work on Father's Day, she has set time aside to have a meal with
her family.

上 我 的 網 頁 上 ， 因 為 我 的 網 頁 每 天 有 60
萬 瀏 覽 人 次 ， 希 望 第 一 時 間 給 全 世 界 的
歌 迷 看 到 。 」
Kelly 將 會 到 西 班 牙 拍 攝
新 碟 的 唱 片 封 套 及 MV ， 預 計 逗 留 數 天 ，
回 港 後 再 趕 到 台 灣 工 作 。 父 親 節 當 日
Kelly 要 開 工 ， 但 仍 會 抽 空 與 家 人 吃 飯 。

Wax
Mannequin Revelation
Kelly
became the youngest and the seventh famous people to have her wax
mannequin displayed at Madame Tussauds HK Wax Museum. The figure
took half a year to complete and costs five hundred thousand
dollars. Yesterday, a press conference was conducted in the
afternoon for the revelation ceremony.
Both
the real and fake Kelly were dressed in the Can Can attire in the
Dynacarnival concert. The figure was constructed so lifelike that
when Kelly saw it, it also gave her a shock. Kelly was extremely
satisfied that the figure was constructed so similar to her. The
figure's teeth, palm and facial features were built to precision.
She also hoped that the figure would be able to lighten her work
load in taking pictures with people. When Kelly had first stepped
into the wax museum, she saw Princess Diana's wax mannequin and had
thought that she had seen a ghost. It had sent a tingle down her
spine. Kelly felt that it would be frightening to display the
mannequins at home. Amongst all of them, she would like to take a
photo with Princess Diana's figure.
Kelly
had expressed that her mannequin's pose was to express the
delightful Kelly and also allow visitors to hold her hands while
taking pictures with her. On the day of the measurement taking,
Kelly had to remain in the pose for hours. The figure was definitely
worthed the high cost. Kelly was excited about her mannequin and she
would call her family members, friends and fans to see her 'other
half'. If she were to have kids next time, she would also bring them
to see their mother in her beauty years.
On
Father's Day, Kelly would have a meal with her father and buy him a
youthful looking shirt. She gave a laugh and said that her father
would also like to look young!

慧 琳 ， 也 可 讓 遊 客 和 她 拖 手 合 照 ﹔ 該 動
作 當 日 度 身 時 擺 足 幾 小 時 ， 但 見 到 如 此
像 真 ， 即 使 是 50 萬 元 也 實 在 值 得 。 Kelly 開

Laptop
Reward
Earlier,
Kelly had received a mini refrigerator from Samsung. This time, she
was again given a latest laptop from the company. This was not the
first laptop that Kelly has received for her ad services. She
currently has 5 to 6 of them. Kelly's favorite pastime is surfing
the net and playing computer games, bringing it along with her for
work will reduce boredom.

陳慧琳（Kelly）繼早前獲廣告商Samsung送贈一個迷你小雪櫃後，最近她又收到一部最新型號的手提電腦，可見此廣告商十分寵愛Kelly。據知此廣告商已非首次送贈手提電腦給Kelly，數數手指也有五、六部之多；不過，Kelly一向喜歡上網及玩電腦遊戲，帶埋部手提電腦開工就唔怕悶啦！

Contract
Renewal With Citizen
Kelly
was selected as the spokesperson for Citizen XC watches for the 4th
consecutive year. This was despite the common scene of changes in
spokesperson for Japanese labels to attract more different buyers.
Being able to continue an ad for 3 years is already a rare sight,
and this had proved that Kelly's popularity in Japan is stable. For
this time's contract renewal, besides being the spokesperson for the
label in Japan, the ad will also be featured in Hong Kong and
Taiwan. As such, she will have a pay increase of 50% and the sum is
believed to be over 3 million.
The
reason for Kelly's contract renewal with Citizen is that there is an
annual increase in sales of the watches. Furthermore, Kelly's
popularity has been increasing after working with Japanese artistes
like Yutaka Takenouchi, Takeshi Kaneshiro and Kyoko Fukada. Citizen
hopes to use Kelly's pop queen position in Asia to further boost its
sales in the region. In the 4th series of the ad, Kelly acts as a
couple with a Japanese model to bring out the message that time is
everlasting love to them.
From
word of Kelly's manager, she was pleased on the contract renewal.
She had also admitted that there was an increase of more than 50%
pay since there are two other regions that were included in the
contract. However, the exact sum was not revealed as it was
confidential.

Free Of Charge
Yesterday,
Kelly had promoted Speak English For Workplace for the second ad
that she has filmed recently. She was at the press conference
together with Education Language director.
During
the press conference, Kelly was praised by the director that after
being the spokesperson for the organisation, there were many
requests for
application. This time, Kelly will again do the ad and promotion for
free.
Kelly
had felt that the English standard in Hong Kong is higher than that
in Japan and Korea. Moreover, the people are more willing to use the
language. Will she encourage her fans to learn English? She
expressed that she will propose writing letters in English. However,
most of them felt that using Chinese is a much closer language and
most of the content include daily slang. Kelly had also mentioned
that reporters should learn more English because it will ease their
communication with international stars.
In
the event, Kelly had revealed that her Education Fund is working
with an educational organisation to release a English comic book
this summer. The main target for the book will be primary and
secondary school students. Moreover, she hopes that the images from
her concert or album can be put in the comic. This will bring more
comic relief and much more easily accepted by students. A further
suggestion was to make it as a CD to raise more funds.

助 數 字 均 以 倍 數 激 增 ， 今 次 Kelly 是 再 度
免 收 酬 勞 拍 攝 及 宣 傳 。
Kelly 又 認 為 香 港 人 的 英
語 水 平 比 起 日 本 、 韓 國 都 更 好 ， 而 且 港
人 夠 膽 講 。 問 到 她 會 否 鼓 勵 歌 迷 學 英 語
， 她 謂 都 可 以 建 議 他 們 寫 英 文 信 ， 不 過
歌 迷 多 數 為 求 親 切 感 ， 寫 信 給 她 也 很 口

暑 期 出 英 文 漫 畫
Kelly 更 透 露 她 的 「 陳 慧
琳 兒 童 教 育 基 金 」 與 一 間 教 育 機 構 合 作
， 將 於 暑 假 推 出 英 文 漫 畫 ， 主 要 對 象 為
中 、 小 學 生 ， 她 希 望 自 己 在 個 唱 或 唱 片
封 套 的 突 出 造 型 ， 可 以 放 在 漫 畫 之 內 ，
這 樣 比 較 輕 鬆 搞 笑 ， 學 生 較 易 接 受 ， 更
希 望 將 來 連 CD 都 可 以 出 ， 此 舉 也 是 為 基
金 多 籌 善 款 。

Spending
In Home Country
On
the previous night, Kelly attended a charity show for TVB held at
Amoy Gardens. She was earlier present in the afternoon rehearsal and
had to be under the sun. Kelly was also involved to patronise from
the shops in the area. Although the money was sponsored by TVB, it
served as an encouragement for the people to spend more. Kelly had
said that she would rather spend her money in Hong Kong to support
the local economy. While she was in Korea a few days ago, she saw
some items which are also sold in Hong Kong but then had chose not
to buy them.
In
the show, Kelly had sang Sally Yeh's "Blessings". She had
later said that it was so coincidental on George Lam's incident and
Kelly had hoped that he would recover soon. Kelly fears standing on
the rising platform on the stage as she feels that it is dangerous.
Whenever the platform rises, it will also start to shake. Her
manager had once missed a step on the stairs and slipped. Her leg
was bruised and had to be treated for almost a year. After this
incident, Kelly will be more careful and pay more attention to where
she walks. Even though she is not familiar with George Lam, she
usually sees him when she goes for medical checkups at the
hospital.
