Karaoke
Manager
Recently,
Kelly had acted as a karaoke manager to film a promotion film for
the "Customer Month" organised by the Tourism Board and
California Red Karaoke booth. Although Kelly is known to be
friendly, the extras still felt awkward and excited being served by
a big star. However, Kelly's approachable character made them get
involved in the shooting easily.
The
special "Customer Month" will last for 2 months and
tourists as well as HK residents will have a chance to enter the
lucky draw to win a condominium.

Cautious
Before Receiving An Interview
There
were recent rumors that TVB will enforce stricter contract rules on
singers so that they do not receive interviews from other television
stations especially from Cable Television. All along, the singer's
contract with TVB had specified that the singer was not allowed to
appear on other programmes other than that by TVB. As there were
loopholes in the contract, there were chances that singers had
unexpectedly received interviews from other stations. The problem
gets acute and TVB has decided to make a stop to this.
Kelly
was supportive of this and when she found that one of the reporters
who tried to conduct an interview with her was from Asia Television,
she politely declined. Kelly had later expressed that sometimes it
was very confusing as there was little time for her to look
carefully at every tag attached to the microphone before an
interview. Has she received any interviews from Cable Television?
She could not remember because every reporter had always requested
for a short interview. Kelly suggested that TVB should give singers
more chances for TV appearances by increasing music programmes for
playing new songs.
During
yesterday's PCCW roadshow, the company had donated $150 000 to
Kelly's Children Education Fund. Kelly laughed that even if she was
not paid for the event she would attend it as long as the sponsor
was willing to make donations to the fund. Kelly mentioned that
after the SARS outbreak, many people had requested to be sponsored
by her charity fund and the money in the fund is fast depleting. As
such, she has to work even harder.

一 直 以 來
無 線 歌 手 的 合 約 已 訂 明 不 能 在 其 他 電 視
台 亮 相 ， 但 因 合 約 中 帶 有 灰 色 地 帶 ， 故
造 成 旗 下 歌 手 在 其 他 電 視 台 亮 相 ， 甚 至
有 接 受 訪 問 的 機 會 。 近 來 有 電 視 台 走 法
律 罅 ， 歌 手 亮 相 他 電 視 台 時 ， 不 講 廣 東
話 （ 改 講 國 語 ） 來 博 大 霧 接 受 訪 問 。 有
見 情 况 愈 來 愈 嚴 重 ， 故 無 線 要 正 視 這 問
題 。

此 外 ， 電
訊 盈 科 昨 日 捐 助 15 萬 元 給 Kelly 名 下 的 兒 童
助 學 基 金 ， Kelly 笑 說 ﹕ 「 就 算 今 次 活 動
沒 有 酬 勞 ， 只 要 大 會 捐 錢 給 基 金 ， 我 都
必 定 會 出 席 的 。 不 過 今 次 有 無 錢 真 的 不
知 道 ， 但 基 金 好 緊 要 ， 因 為 SARS 後 多 了 人
申 請 學 費 及 書 簿 費 ， 近 來 基 金 數 字 都 下

Giving
Birth At 40
Yesterday,
Kelly and Andy Hui was at Metro Radio station to promote their new
radio drama. In the story, Andy Hui and Kelly are a pair of lovers
and during the press conference they were arranged to carry a baby
doll. Kelly had shown that she was trained well to handle a real
baby.
Kelly
was later asked if she has planned to be a mother. Her reply was
that she will only give birth at the age of 40 and she does not feel
that age is too old. As to whether her boyfriend agrees with her,
Kelly said that this was her own thinking and has yet to discuss
this with him. She would want to enjoy being in their own world
after marriage and have children at a later time. What happens if
she accidentally gets pregnant? Kelly claimed that she is always
certain in her way of doing things and such things will definitely
not happen.
Even
though Kelly has a liking of children, she fears the pain while
delivering the baby. From her friends, she got to know that the
process was painful. She even joked that she would rather get the
doctor to cut open her stomach and extract the baby rather than to
deliver it. Her ideal number of children to have is two; a male and
a female. However, she may drop her idea if the process is too
terrible.
Kelly
described that her boyfriend, Alex, is a traditional man and greatly
wishes to be a father. Her only reply to him is that she is very
busy and would not be able to help him. She added that Alex appears
concerned about this but has yet to force her to get married. Alex's
mother did asked Kelly on marriage matters but she would always
smile and not reply to change the topic.

Kelly
had earlier done an interview for Metro Radio and she had talked
about her views on career and love. Kelly has high expectations on
herself and when she is on stage, she will feel that the stage
belongs to her. Furthermore, she does not allow herself to be seen
badly on stage. She would rather hear the audience criticise her for
being untalented rather than being lazy. Kelly had also expressed
that she longed to receive a Hardworking Award. As for love, she had
mentioned that she is not as strong as her appearance and she will
choose to be looked after. To her, girls are most happy when they
are cared. However, she is unwilling to receive promises from men
that they will take care of her for the rest of her life. Women will
need to be independent.

Works With Park Yong Ha
Kelly
was earlier in Korea to film two music videos, All I Want Is Love
and It's All My Fault, for her new Mandarin album. Kelly had also
specially invited Korean star, Park Yong Ha, to starr in the videos.
This was not the first time that they had worked together as they
had previously done an ad for an electrical appliance. Although,
Kelly was not versatile in Korean and had to depend on a translator
to convey her message, both of them managed to get along well. Park
had acted as the local guide and brought her to the night market and
enjoy the local delicacies.
Taiwan
media had even described the two of them as a perfect pair. The
music video for All I Want Is Love described the female lead longing
for true love but unable to get certained love in return. Under the request of the video
director, Kelly had to shed tears in three seconds for the opening
scene. This was not difficult for Kelly but this brought on
amazement by her partner. Park had later asked why she could shed
tears so easily and wanted to know if she was troubled by other
matters. Kelly explained that the weather was hot and had wanted to
finish the work quickly. Park did not have a good time filming the
video too. He was required to run under the hot weather and in order
to have a better take, the scene was taken more than 10 times.

要 劇 情 是 講 述 一 段 無 奈 愛 情 ， 因 為 女 主
角 得 不 到 男 主 角 肯 定 的 愛 ， 在 導 演 要 求
下 ， 陳 慧 琳 拍 第 一 幕 時 已 要 在 3 秒 鐘 內
掉 淚 。 陳 慧 琳 充 滿 演 戲 經 驗 ， 當 然 難 不
到 她 ， 反 而 朴 龍 河 甚 吃 驚 ， 問 她 何 以 能
如 此 易 喊 ﹖ 是 因 何 事 感 觸 ﹖ 她 說 自 己 沒
有 什 麼 傷 心 事 ， 只 因 天 氣 熱 ， 想 趕 快 收
工 就 掉 淚 了 。 而 朴 龍 河 自 己 也 不 好 過 ，
在 30 多 度 高 溫 下 不 停 跑 ， 他 為 求 效 果 好

Kelly
was in Guangzhou to prepare fries at the MacDonalds restaurant for
raising funds. Her efforts had managed to bring in $150 000 and the
sum will go to Kelly's Children Education Fund primarily to help the
needy students in Mainland China.

Your Mind Concert
For
Kelly's Free Your Mind concert held on Sunday night, she has invited
Cecilia Cheung and Hacken Lee as guests for the show. The concert
was also set as a plan for HK Tourism Board to promote the country
and 700 tourists from Mainland China were invited. The overall
response to the concert was good and many of the fans had rushed to
the front of the stage during the encore section.
When
Cecilia Cheung had appeared on stage, she handed over a luminous
stick to Kelly and was very high during the performance. However,
she left immediately before any of the reporters could interview
her. As for Kelly, she had requested the stage technicians to stop
the platform which was raised while she was singing "Tall
Girl". She had later said that she is afraid of
heights.
On
her special guest, Cecilia Cheung, Kelly had worked with her in the
movie Tokyo Raiders and felt that she was cute. On that night,
Cecilia had also given 4 watches to her with communication
capabilities. As such, Kelly had decided to give something in return
to her.

The New Ruling
During
yesterday's Neway charity drive for the sale of mooncakes, Kelly had
signed autographs for 200 people. The funds for the event will
collected for donations to Ren Joi Hospital. She will also
distribute stationaries to the people from the Homes for them to
sell.
As
to the new ruling made by RTHK on new songs being plugged on its
radio stations, Kelly made a joke that the record companies' stuff
will have less to do in the future and she is interested to change
roles with them. Kelly added that she is not that the new
ruling will affect her because every singer gets the same treatment.
There were rumors that Chan Siu Po will resign from the position of
IFPI Association Chairman after the investigations. To this, Kelly
said that the news of his investigation would in a way affect his
name. However, more important is to find out the truth and if he is
really innocent, he will not need to make a resignation.

Kelly
was the ambassador for Commercial Radio's "Dreams Come
True" event held yesterday afternoon. As Kelly was wearing a
mini skirt, she had to be cautious of her movements.
Kelly
was aware about the recent investigation by ICAC on the
entertainment scene regarding the rigging of awards. She added that
it was a frightening experience seeing the people arrested for
investigation. However, she has also expressed that it was
unsuitable for her to give any comments because the investigations
are still being carried out. Kelly could not imagine a girl being
arrested for investigation as it would be so frightening and would
not know what to say.
As
to talks about buying of awards, Kelly has not heard about this. The
award serves as a bonus to her. More important is in individual
improvement. Kelly laughed that she has so far not attended any
special meals with the media executives because she always have her
meals at home. She believed that the meetings between the record
company and media executives are social gatherings rather than
special undertable agreements.

Yesterday
afternoon, Kelly had done the recording for TVB's Teenage Talent
Show and had encouraged teenagers to participate in activities
during the summer vacation. Kelly had recalled that she had always
planned her summer vacation well with enriching activities. She had
taken on several temporary jobs before finally going to an ad agency
where she embarked on her career in the entertainment scene.
Kelly
had also warned teenagers to be careful when looking for jobs. They
should not fall for auditions that require pre-payments as well as
taking sexy pictures. As to how she spent her money that was earned
in the vacation job, Kelly's reply was that the working experience
gained outweighed the earnings. Most of her pay was spent on
beautifying herself and food.

Kelly 回 想 以 前 暑 假 編 排 充 實 ， 曾 擔 任 設
計 師 助 手 、 測 量 師 資 料 員 等 ， 直 至 有 年
她 到 廣 告 公 司 見 工 ， 從 而 展 開 演 藝 生 涯
。
Kelly 提 醒 青 少 年 搵 工 時 要 看 清 楚 ， 如 果
試 鏡 及 試 音 要 付 錢 便 不 要 上 當 ， 更 加 毋
須 影 性 感 相 。 問 她 那 時 如 何 運 用 暑 期 工
賺 到 的 錢 ﹖ Kelly 表 示 做 暑 期 工 並 非 為 錢
， 是 為 將 來 汲 取 工 作 經 驗 ， 賺 來 的 金 錢
多 用 來 扮 靚 及 買 食 物 。

Saving
The Music Industry
During
yesterday's press conference held at Universal Music regional
office, an announcement was made that Rock Records will have their
albums distributed by Universal Music in the Asia region. Kelly and
Emil Chow were invited to represent Go East and Rock Records
respectively to witness the event.
On
the co-operation between the two record companies, Kelly said that
it is a hard time for the record companies and through this merger,
there will be more chances for her to work with different singers in
the future. There are current plans for Kelly to work with both Emil
Chow and Richie Ren. As for other singers, she will need to see if
there are any arrangements made by the record company. Most
important is that the co-operation is carried out in harmony.
Kelly
had also expressed that her current album earnings was far below
that compared to 1997. It was fortunate that her concert could be
added from 3 shows to 12 so as to maintain her earnings. Kelly
suggested that the HK music industry could follow what the
Westerners are doing, that is, make mp3 downloads legal and charge a
fee for each download. The record companies can also save on album
pictures as well as music video production.

東 唱 片 及 滾 石 唱 片 ， 昨 日 特 別 邀 請 了 歌
手 陳 慧 琳 （ Kelly ） 和 周 華 健 ， 為 兩 間 公
司 出 席 正 式 簽 訂 合 約 儀 式 。 合 約 的 主 要
目 的 是 由 環 球 唱 片 有 限 公 司 ， 為 滾 石 唱
片 發 行 亞 洲 各 地 推 出 之 唱 片 。
將 與 周 華 健 合 作
Kelly 對 於 兩 間 公 司 合 作 ， 表 示 現 今 市 道
唱 片 公 司 實 在 是 很 難 做 ， 但 這 對 自 己 來
說 確 是 多 了 機 會 與 其 他 歌 手 合 作 ， 現 計
劃 將 會 與 滾 石 旗 下 歌 手 任 賢 齊 及 周 華 健
合 作 ， 至 於 會 否 與 其 他 歌 手 合 作 ﹖ Kelly
則 表 示 會 由 公 司 安 排 ， 無 論 和 誰 合 作 都
最 緊 要 合 拍 。
Kelly 表 示 現 今 唱 片 市 道 與 她 出 道 時 比 較
， 收 入 確 跌 了 不 少 ， 總 之 社 會 經 濟 跌 幾
多 ， 她 收 入 就 跌 幾 多 ， 最 賺 錢 當 然 是 九
七 前 ， 幸 演 唱 會 由 最 初 三 場 加 到 現 在 十
二 場 ， 才 能 得 以 維 持 收 入 。 問 Kelly 心 中
有 否 救 市 良 方 ﹖ 她 笑 言 希 望 在 網 上 下 載
的 歌 曲 收 費 ， 到 時 連 唱 片 封 套 和 MV 的 製
作 本 錢 也 可 慳 返 。
而 久 未 在 港 露 面 的 周
華 健 ， 他 表 示 早 前 在 內 地 拍 了 一 個 防 炎
內 衣 廣 告 ， 更 笑 稱 穿 了 有 壯 陽 功 效 。 下
半 年 他 將 主 力 籌 備 廣 東 唱 片 ， 他 笑 言 早
知 可 和 Kelly 一 起 合 作 。 而 問 到 有 關 他 為
兄 還 債 一 事 ﹖ 華 健 則 道 ﹕ 「 一 句 都 唔 會
講 ， Sorry ﹗ 」

Pictures With The Fake Bull
Kelly
was recently back from her trip to Spain and her toned her skin
color to honey peach on her return. On Saturday night's TVB Jade
Solid Gold Selections, Kelly had even posed as a bull in front of
the reporters. Initially. Kelly had wanted to be a bull fighter and
take pictures fighting al bull. However, each bull can only be
fought once before they are killed as explained by the locals. As
such, Kelly's hopes were shattered but she did manage to fight bulls
that were disguised by the trainees. Kelly also learnt some basic
bull-fighting skills as well as taking pictures with the fake bull.
Later,
Kelly would go to Taiwan to promote her new Mandarin album. Due to
the SARS outbreak earlier, many major singers had chose to delay the
release of their albums to that time period. Kelly knew that there
will be intense competition. All she could do is to do her best for
the promotion. There were also earlier reports on soured
relationship between Kelly's management and the record company.
During the award event, Kelly was accompanied by 6-7 record company
staff. Kelly had mentioned that it was not as serious as what was
reported.

班 牙 拍 攝 唱 片 封 套 ， 皮 膚 曬 得 一 身 蜜 桃
色 回 來 。 前 晚 她 在 《 2003 年 勁 歌 金 曲 第 二
季 季 選 》 中 ， 更 扮 牛 給 記 者 拍 照 。 原 來
Kelly 在 西 班 牙 時 ， 想 一 嘗 做 鬥 牛 勇 士 及
拍 下 鬥 牛 場 面 。 但 經 當 地 人 解 釋 後 ， 每
隻 牛 一 生 只 可 以 比 賽 一 次 ， 之 後 便 要 人
道 毀 滅 。 所 以 當 地 人 不 肯 借 出 牛 來 拍 照
， 最 後 只 好 改 為 找 鬥 牛 勇 士 的 學 生 扮 牛
， 她 就 學 些 鬥 牛 勇 士 基 本 功 ， 與 假 牛 拍
照 。
稍 後 Kelly 會 到 台 灣 宣 傳 新 唱 片 。 有 指 因
SARS 疫 情 ， 台 灣 的 歌 手 如 周 杰 倫 等 紅 人 ，
都 趁 暑 假 這 段 時 間 出 碟 。 Kelly 稱 ， 她 也
知 競 爭 會 激 烈 ， 但 也 沒 辦 法 ， 只 好 努 力
去 做 宣 傳 。 早 前 有 報 道 指 她 的 經 理 人 與
唱 片 公 司 鬧 不 和 ， 前 晚 見 Kelly 所 屬 的 正
東 唱 片 出 齊 人 馬 ， 共 6 、 7 人 照 顧 她 ， 她
也 稱 同 唱 片 公 司 不 和 之 說 只 是 小 事 。

Relation With Record Company
Yesterday,
Kelly had commented on a recent magazine's report that her
management's relationship with her record company had soured. As a
result, her record company had even decided to freeze her contract.
Kelly does not understand why there could be such reports when their
relations are still good.
Kelly
was further asked if the problem was due to the change in promotion
team in the record company. Kelly said that the promotion team
should be given more time and she also denied that there was a lack
in communication between her management and the record company. She
added that the promotion team is experienced and cooperation between
them was smooth.
Kelly
has helped Siu Fong Fong's Charity in the dubbing of an animation
series and she plays the main female role who is sexually molested
by her elder cousin played by Sam Lee. The animation will later be
translated to English as well. Kelly had said that she had seen such
a case and wished to do something for the younger generations.
Also,
it was hard work for Kelly during her stay in Spain because the
weather was very hot. Kelly revealed that her album will be released
before September when she will start filming Infernal Affairs 3. As
her Mandarin album was delayed due to SARS, she will also need to
proceed to Taiwan for promotion work.
陳慧琳輕鬆否認遭雪藏
陳慧琳昨日為護苗基金的卡通動畫配音，談到日前有報道指陳慧琳（Kelly）的經理人公司與唱片公司正東鬧翻，令她慘遭雪藏。Kelly昨日出席護苗活動時否認此事，並表示兩間公司的關係十分好，完全沒有問題，不明白為何會有這樣的報道傳出。
對於經理人公司與唱片公司正東鬧翻的傳聞，昨日Kelly輕鬆地說：「無嘢啦！唱片公司同經理人公司不知幾好，完全冇問題。」
問她是否唱片公司轉換了宣傳人員所致？她說：「畀啲時間啦！啱啱開始合作，我哋都好有默契，唔知點解會咁寫。」她否認正東與經理人公司缺乏溝通，她覺得宣傳人員好好和好有經驗，合作順利。
Kelly直言現在跟以前沒有分別，她笑言這單新聞令她摸不着頭腦。問她是否因為鍾珍替她爭取時，引起雙方的衝突？Kelly即說：「冇乜嘢要爭取，佢哋諗嘅，大家都可以達到共識，唔係報道所講咁。」
為護苗出力
Kelly今次於護苗基金的卡通動畫中，飾演主角飛貓，卡通中的角色受李燦森配音的表哥性侵犯。Kelly指這次是她首次為護苗工作，她自己有一個英語基金會，所以她會把今次的護苗動畫配成英文版。她說：「我睇過一啲個案（性侵犯）好恐怖，我哋要為下一代出一分力。」
另外，她表示剛從西班牙拍完唱片封套回港，當地每日都很曬，所以拍得好辛苦。她透露9月開拍《無間道Ⅲ》之前會推出新碟。受沙士問題影響，Kelly表示其國語碟要延遲推出，而稍後她便會到台灣宣傳國語碟。
