As A Puppet For Shampoo Ad
Kelly
had contracted to appear in an ad for Head & Shoulders Shampoo
following the footsteps of Faye Wong and Shu Qi. This time, Kelly
was very well rewarded much like her earlier ad for 3-D Gold. There
will also be a new song "Set You Free" for the ad.
In
the ad that is scheduled to be broadcast in March, Kelly plays two
characters. One of them is the role of a puppet representing people
being uncomfortable and lack of confidence in their subconscious.
However, once they have overcome their scalp problem and have
perfect flowing hair, they will be able to enjoy their freedom. It
was fun for Kelly as it was her first experience to act as a
puppet.
Based
on the newspaper report in Mainland China, Kelly's status is one of
the highest. Her reward for some ads are even much more than Maggie
Cheung, Michelle Reis or Carina Lau. The main reason for this is
that Kelly has a healthy image and special character that makes her
a favourite among companies. Also, being an international
outstanding young persons contributes to make her status higher.

Equipment Ad
Kelly
had earlier filmed the ad for a Japanese branded toiletry equipment.
To express the feeling of relaxation, Kelly had don on bath robes
and there were scenes of her brushing her teeth and blowing her hair
that are extremely rare to be seen.
The
filming was fully carried out in Shanghai. The crew had also
specially flown in from Japan to carry out production of the ad. On
the day of filming, the weather had dropped to below 0 degrees. As
they were aware that Kelly is extremely afraid of cold temperatures,
heaters were placed on all corners and warm bags were prepared for
her. Due to the content of the ad, Kelly was only allowed to put on
thin clothes. Fortunately, the filming process was completed faster
than expected. The crew had even praised Kelly for being
professional.
Also,
this was the third time that Kelly had worked with the director for
the ad. Kelly mentioned that he was only an assistant director when
Kelly did her first ad before she joined showbiz. It was probably
fate that they had the chance to meet again.

， 幸 拍 攝 進 度 比 想 像 中 快 ， 各 工 作 人 員
均 讚 賞 Kelly 非 常 專 業 。

原 來 已 經 是 第 三 次 跟 Kelly 合 作 ， Kelly 說 ：
「 第 一 次 見 面 時 他 仍 是 副 導 演 ， 自 己 還
未 入 行 ， 更 是 第 一 次 拍 廣 告 ； 現 在 有 機
會 再 次 見 面 ， 感 覺 與 他 都 算 有 緣 。 」

Roses From Boyfriend
Yesterday
night, Kelly had returned with his boyfriend from New York. Both of
them had intentionally came out separately at the arrival gate.
Kelly had explained that his boyfriend does not want to appear in
front of the camera. Although they were accompanied by friends for
the trip to New York, both of them had still spent most of the time
alone.
When
asked on how she had spent her Valentine's Day, Kelly smiled sweetly
that she had watched a musical drama that night. They had initially
planned to have a candle light dinner after that. However, they were
too tired and did not do so. Her boyfriend had given her 214 roses
and a bottle of champagne. On the other hand, Kelly had not given
him anything.
Also,
the ad that Kelly had earlier done for McDonalds was officially
launched. Even though the weather was cold on that day of shooting,
Kelly had a hard time bearing the cold when she had to wore
shorts.

As Jang Geum
Kelly
had sung the theme song for TVB's highest viewership serial "Dae
Jang Geum" and was required to film the music video. This was
the second time that Kelly had don the Hanbok but her look was still
very refreshing. She had learnt to place her hands on her forehead
to greet people from the serial. Upon entering the studio, she did
that and made everyone laughed.
To
re-enact the suffering of Jang Geum in the show, the director had
requested for Kelly to cry in the music video. Kelly has
always been an optimistic person and was unable to cry at that time.
Finally, they had to use eyes drops to complete the scene.
As
Kelly was afraid of the cold, the staff were considerate to turn off
the air conditioner. However, the temperature got too high and the
lightings started to emit fumes. They had no choice but to turn the
air-conditioner back on. When Kelly was waiting for her turn for the
filming, she would cover herself up with the blanket.
During
Lunar New Year, Kelly was on vacation overseas. She had reminded her
family members to record the episodes of "Dae Jang Geum"
that she had missed so that she would be able to watch them after
she returned.

New Year Traditions
Into
the new year, Kelly's first request to her manager was to have a
vacation. As such, she was granted with 2 weeks of vacation during
the Lunar New Year to fulfill her plans for the holiday. She had
also made use of this time to go overseas with her boyfriend. This
vacation was very much anticipated by Kelly as she had not taken a
break after her earlier concert.
In
past years, Kelly will always stay in HK during the Lunar New Year
because she comes from a very traditional family. During major
festivals, the whole family will celebrate them together. For
instance, during last Christmas, she was having her concert at the
coliseum. Her family members had came over to accompany her.
How
does Kelly spend her Lunar New Year? From the second day, she will
be the princess. Basically, she only needs to open her mouth to have
meals. This is because her mother will come over to her house early
in the morning to prepare meals for her. Kelly will have the chance
to sleep until meals are ready and she again returns to sleep after
that. That is the reason why Kelly likes the new year as she could
sleep and eat to her satisfaction.
However,
on the first day of the new year, she dared not oversleep. After her
vegetarian meal with her father in the morning, she had to visit her
grandmother. To this date, she still follows the tradition of
kneeling in front of her grandmother and parents to serve tea and
paying respects to them. Even though Kelly is already a pop queen,
she is still a child in her grandmother's eyes.
Many
of her friends was surprised that she was willing to follow this
tradition. To Kelly, it was a sign of respect to the elders and it
was only done once in a year. Even if she has kids, she will insist
on them to carry it on.
Kelly
claimed that she would follow some traditions closely. For example,
she will buy new wears every year including a pair of new slippers
to wear on the first day of the new year. When she wakes up, the
first thing she will do is to don the slippers and step hard on the
floor. This is the belief that unhappy things in the past year are
kicked away and will not occur again.
As
to what unhappy things that need to be kicked away, she said that it
was mainly her sickness. Last year, she had a sore throat that
plague her for a month. This made her understand that being healthy
was very important. The second was world disasters and diseases.
People in suffering, irregardless of their nationality, makes her
unhappy. Kelly stressed that she was not superstitious but that
after her friends had taught her to step hard in her new slippers,
the year passed smoothly for her.

度 過 ﹖ 她 說 ﹕ 「 由 年 初 二 開 始 我 就 有 如
『 皇 帝 女 』 ， 基 本 上 就 飯 來 張 口 ， 因 母
親 一 早 就 會 到 我 家 裏 打 點 ， 我 就 不 停 瞓
， 只 要 夠 鐘 食 飯 就 全 部 煮 好 ， 才 叫 醒 我
埋 位 ， 食 完 我 又 瞓 過 ， 到 食 下 一 餐 又 叫
醒 我 ， 所 以 我 好 鍾 意 新 年 ， 可 以 好 任 性
盡 情 地 瞓 與 吃 。 」

不 過 ， 唯 一 就 是 年
初 一 ， 即 使 如 何 渴 睡 都 不 敢 睡 ， 因 她 必
須 與 父 親 在 家 中 食 完 齋 菜 ， 便 一 起 到 嫲
嫲 家 裏 拜 年 ， 而 且 到 現 在 為 止 都 會 依 足
傳 統 ， 先 向 嫲 嫲 跪 地 斟 茶 拜 年 ， 然 後 再
向 父 母 斟 茶 ， 就 算 現 在 貴 為 樂 壇 天 后 身
分 也 好 ， 在 嫲 嫲 面 前 Kelly 仍 只 是 個 小 女
孩 而 已 。
「 我 的 朋 友 都 說 這
傳 統 已 經 失 傳 ， 覺 得 我 好 罕 有 還 肯 跪 地
斟 茶 ， 但 這 是 對 長 者 的 敬 意 ， 我 覺 得 一

一 時 間 踩 走 ， 新 一 年 不 會 再 回來 。

心 的 需 要 踩 兼 踢 走 ﹖ Kelly 說 ﹕ 「 有 呀 ﹗
最 主 要 是 病 痛 ， 去 年 喉 嚨 不 適 ， 病 足 一
個 月 ， 讓 我 體 會 健 康 很 可 貴 ， 其 次 就 當
然 是 天 災 疫 症 不 要 再 來 ， 看 到 世 界 上 有
人 受 苦 ， 無 論 是 什 麼 國 籍 也 好 ， 都 會 不

Kelly
had recently filmed the MV for her song "Red Ribbon". The
director had got a group of kids to appear in it. In the video,
Kelly plays a teacher and she had to take on the responsibility to
teach the children, telling them to treasure the people and things
around them and help others on their own initiative.
Kelly
mentioned that the lyrics to the song has two meanings. One of them
describes a "small" woman who knows that she is fortunate
and does not demand for anything else. She feels that this closely
describes her. Another
meaning to the lyrics is that while knowing that she is fortunate,
there are still people in other parts of the world who are
suffering. As such, it is important to treasure the things around
them and help others who are in need.
Filming
work with the kids was difficult as when the director had called to
get ready for the shoot, some time was needed to get the kids under
control. Fortunately, Kelly did not face much trouble with them and
she was happily playing with them as the filming carried out. She
laughed that kid's reactions are often unpredictable. In one of the
scenes, the director had asked one of them to give a small peck on
Kelly's face. However, the boy hugged on to her so tightly and
continuously kissed her. His actions surprised her. From the
filming, Kelly had learnt how to communicate with kids and that was
to be one of them herself and mix around with them.

拍 攝 期 間 ， Kelly 很 快
便 被 一 班 小 朋 友 搞 到 團 團 轉 ， 皆 因 小 朋
友 們 活 潑 非 常 ， 周 圍 走 動 ， 導 演 叫 埋 位
都 要 一 段 長 時 間 才 能 控 制 到 場 面 ， 幸 好
最 後 由 Kelly 這 個 假 老 師 變 成 真 老 師 ， 與
他 們 邊 玩 邊 拍 攝 ， ＭＶ 才 得 以 順 利 完 成
。 她 笑 言 小 朋 友 的 舉 動 真 的 令 人 難 以 想
像 ， 其 中 一 幕 導 演 叫 一 位 小 朋 友 輕 輕 親
她 的 臉 ， 但 那 位 小 朋 友 竟 然 肉 緊 的 攬 著
她 不 停 地 錫 ， 令 她 嚇 了 一 跳 。 而 Kelly 亦
想 出 一 個 與 小 朋 友 溝 通 的 方 法 ， 便 是 將

Kelly
and her boyfriend had set off yesterday morning for a vacation in
New York and would return to Hong Kong after Valentine's Day. Having
such a precious two week holiday, Kelly had discussed with her
boyfriend on which country to go and they finally decided on New
York.
Before
she had left for her vacation, Kelly had filmed the MV for Dae Jang
Geum's theme song " Hope". It was Kelly's first
opportunity to wear the traditional Korean Hanbok. Kelly had
expressed that she has interest in the Korean's traditional dress as
the colours are very striking. While filming the video, Kelly had
also learnt to do Korean art and craft. She had placed flower petals
into wooden boxes to be given as gifts to friends.
She
had claimed that watching television shows can widen your knowledge
and her understanding of food and medicine had increased. She had
learnt from the serial to put charcoal into seasoning to remove any
strange odour. Besides watching the serial, Kelly would also read
the synopsis of the serial from the official web. While doing so,
she had saw messages on the board praising that she sang the theme
song well and she was extremely delighted.

Red Packets
Kelly
had recently revealed her secret of not opening the red packets that
she had received for 10 years since her schooldays till now. She has
now collected about a thousand red packets. She even has a special
bucket to put the red packets. A weight is put over the red packets
as there is a belief that this will bring fortune over the year.
The
reporter had asked how Kelly would spend this sum of money. Kelly
had hoped that the money with some additional sum forked out, will
be sufficient to buy an apartment. This is because there is not
enough space in her current house. Kelly also has the habit of
distributing red packets to her working staff as it is important to
start work lucky. When would she finally give "real" red
packets? Her reply was to wait for the proposal from her boyfriend
and to fulfill the wish of having children by 40.

用 沉 甸 甸 的 物 件 壓 住 ， 皆 因 聽 過 有 長 輩
說 壓 歲 錢 是 將 財 運 帶 過 年 。
記 者 問 如 何 花 這 筆
利 是 錢 ？ Kelly 說 ： 「 希 望 足 夠 買 層 樓 ，
再 用 自 己 錢 補 貼 ， 因 為 依 家 地 方 實 在 唔
夠 用 。 」 她 亦 有 派 開 工 利 是 的 習 慣 ： 「
呢 樣 �� 好 緊 要 ， 開 工 大 吉 嘛 ！ （ 幾 時 正
式 派 利 是 ？ ） 嘩 ！ 等 男 友 求 婚 先 ， 希 望
四 十 歲 達 成 結 婚 生 仔 願 望 ， 到 時 一 定 大
派 利 是 。 」
