Family
Get Together
Kelly,
together with Edmond Leung and Jade Kwan, were invited as performing
guests for the Inter-school singing contest held on Wednesday
evening. During then, Kelly had revealed that her brother's birthday
happens to fall close to Mother's Day. He has been away from home
for several months, working in Suzhou. Kelly's family has hence
decided to pay a surprise visit to him bringing a birthday cake and
presents for him. This is a rare opportunity for a family get
together because Kelly's parents had seldom traveled together after
they were separated. Kelly believed that her brother would not know
of their visit because there are no news reports of HK there.
Kelly
had mentioned that her brother, Victor, has a liking for hi-tech
gadgets. Once, Kelly and her mother had both given Victor mobile
phone as birthday gifts. To avoid such incidents happening again,
they had made a discussion on what gifts they had prepared for him
this time. Kelly has bought a digital camera for him. She laughed
that the gifts this year had burnt a hole in her pocket because she
had to prepare 4 gifts at the same time. Besides one for her
brother, she had also got gifts for her mother and grandmother for
Mother's day. Also, her father's birthday falls in May as well. As
such, she had decided to buy all 4 gifts at one go to make everyone
happy.
Would
Kelly be worried that her sudden appearance in Suzhou cause a stir?
She smiled and said that she was not worried because the filming
area was much more deserted and they will need to take a car journey
after arriving at Suzhou. Furthermore, there are not many people
living in the area. However, she felt that the 2 days 1 night trip
will be a tough one.
On
Andy Lau's new movie "Blood Brothers" being banned in
China, was Kelly worried that her upcoming movie, that was also an
action-packed movie, to suffer the same fate? Kelly had expressed
that it is unlikely because her movie is one based on the police and
is different from "Blood Brothers".

帶 齊 蛋 糕 和 禮 物 為 弟 弟 慶 祝 ， 一 家 人 在
外 地 過 母 親 節 。 由 於 當 地 沒 有 香 港 的 報
道 ， 相 信 弟 弟 不 會 知 道 ， 屆 時 他 一 定 會
有 意 外 驚 喜 。

與 母 親 均 送 手 提 電 話 給 司 翰 作 生 日 禮 物

Kelly 笑 謂 今 年 要 「 大 出 血 」 ， 除 了 為 弟
弟 準 備 禮 物 外 ， 也 要 買 母 親 節 禮 物 送 給
母 親 和 婆 婆 ； 還 有 父 親 的 生 日 也 是 在 五
月 份 ， 故 索 性 一 口 氣 買 四 份 禮 物 ， 人 人
有 份 ， 皆 大 歡 喜 。
貴 為 天 后
的 Kelly ， 可 擔 心 到 蘇 州 會 引 起 哄 動 ？ 她
笑 笑 口 說 不 怕 ， 因 拍 攝 場 地 較 偏 遠 ， 到
蘇 州 後 還 要 轉 乘 汽 車 ， 當 地 人 煙 不 多 ，
不 過 相 信 是 次 兩 日 一 夜 的 行 程 會 頗 為 辛
苦 。
另 ， 提 到
《 江 湖 》 內 地 禁 映 ， 而 Kelly 主 演 的 電 影
《 大 事 件 》 同 樣 是 動 作 片 ， 可 擔 心
同 樣 命 運 ？ 她 表 示 不 會 ， 因 該 片 是 警 匪
片 ， 跟 《 江 湖 》 不 同 性 質 。

Stopping
Illegal MP3 Downloads
The
problem of illegal song downloads through mp3s have been getting
serious but Kelly's record company had managed to claim over $200
000 from fines made to an illegal mp3 web site. Although this sum of
money would not be able to fully cover up the record company's loss,
it was a good start. From Kelly's knowledge, the web site has about
three hundred of her songs for download.
Kelly
had revealed that her record company has already planned to set up a
legal mp3 web site for fans to download
her songs. She had also urged fans not to download the songs through
illegal means because this would cause the death of the music
industry. Would there be charges for the song downloads from the
record company's web site? Kelly replied that she was still
uncertain.
Kelly
will set off to Beijing today. As to the recent SARS outbreak in the
area, she had claimed that she was not worried. She added that it is
most important to be careful in personal hygiene. Would she stop
handshakes with fans? She replied that she would not stop doing so
and some fans would even hug her. She does not mind female fans
hugging and kissing her but definitely not from male fans. At one
time, a male fan had rushed up to kiss her but his lips only touched
her shoulders as he was not tall enough.
On
the talks of China fans for being extremely warm and friendly, Kelly
had expressed that some of them were just showing off to their
friends. This was because once they got on stage, they kept waving
to their friends below.

Bedtime Stories
Kelly
was yesterday invited as the performing guest for the Children's
Reading Day event and she read "Unhappy Turtle" in fluent
English to a group of three hundred children. The children had
listened to her attentively while Kelly made comical expressions as
she narrated the story.
Kelly
had expressed that she had made preparations on knowing that she
would need to read a story to the children. She also claimed that
she is good in making comical facial expressions and could be put to
good use this time.
Kelly
has a habit of reading story books and is a fanatic of "Harry
Potter". Besides enjoying love stories, she loves to listen to
bedtime stories. Her usual story teller is none other than her
brother, Victor. Victor has great knowledge in historical characters
and would often tell them to her. Every time after hearing his
stories, she could fall asleep easily. Kelly added that her
boyfriend does tell her stories too but they are usually not as
good.
She
would later need to travel to Beijing for work but recently, there
were new cases of SARS in the area. When asked if she was worried,
she replied that it is most important to observe personal hygiene.
She usually brings her personal mic when she goes abroad for
performances. This time, she would have to bring masks as well.
Would she reject shaking hands with fans? She all along does not do
so for fear that she might be pulled down from stage.

長 扮 鬼 扮 馬 ， 今 次的 表 演 ， 正 好 讓 她 發
揮 所 長 。

看 故 事 書 的 習 慣 ， 她 亦 是 《 哈 利 波 特 》
的 捧 場 客 。 除 了 愛 看 故 事 書 之 外 ， Kelly
在 臨 睡 的 時 候 ， 很 喜 歡 聽 別 人 講 故 事 ，
不 說 不 知 ， 原 來 這 位 經 常 講 故 事 給 她 聽
的 人 ， 就 是 其 弟 陳 司 翰 。 陳 司 翰 對 中 國
歷 史 有 研 究 ， 經 常 講 歷 史 故 事 給 她 聽 ，
每 次 聽 弟 弟 講故 事 ， 她 都 會 很 易 入 睡
的 。 Kelly 謂 ， 雖 然 男 友 間 中 亦 會 講 故 事
給 她 聽 ， 但 始 終 不 及 弟 弟 講 得 精 彩
。
赴京演出無懼沙士
Kelly 下 月 將
起 程 到 北 京 演 出 ， 由 於 北 京 日 前 有 「 沙
士 」 疑 似 個 案 發 生 ， 問 她 會 否 很 擔 心 ？
她 覺 得 最 重 要 是 注 重 個 人 的 衛 生 ， 其 實
她 每 次 到 外 地 演 出 ， 都 會 自 備 私 家 咪 ，
今 次 就 更 要 帶 備 口 罩 。 會 否 擔 心 感 染 「
沙 士 」 而 拒 絕 跟 歌 迷 握 手 呢 ？ Kelly 謂 ，
為 免 被 熱 情 的 歌 迷 扯 跌 落 台 ， 所 以 她 一

Relatives In Yangzhou
Kelly
had earlier done a performance in Yangzhou and the show will be
broadcast over the world and the estimated number of people watching
it will be several millions.
Kelly
had expressed that her trip to Yangzhou was a happy and memorable
one. She was very surprised to reunite with her relatives staying in
Yangzhou. 3 of her relatives had waited at her hotel to see her and
they later showed her Kelly's photograph with her grandmother as
proof of their relationship. Kelly was delighted to meet them but
could not have a meal with them because her schedule was too tight.
During
her stay, Kelly was also invited for a tour of the local river on
the boat. She had frequently waved to the other passengers on
bypassing boats. Some had even got close to her boat and wanted to
shake hands with her that nearly caused her to fall into the river.
Kelly had also not forgot to buy several local specialties home for
her family members.

Confidence
Booster After Sickness
Kelly
was earlier down with flu and was finally able to recover and attend
a performance at Chong Qing. Initially, Kelly was worried that her
performance in front of the 30 000 strong crowd would not be on par
due to her sore throat. She did not let them down and the response
from the people was very good. Kelly has a liking for peonies and
the performance had coincided with the local peony festival. While
on stage, she had received peonies from fans but she was unable to
bring them back to HK because there were too many.
Another
happy news for Kelly was that her song "Dowry" was able to
clinch no.1 for many of the major HK music charts. As such, her
record company has decided to plug her third song
"Abidance" on radio.

With Alex Fong In Ad
 
The
two earlier TVB music specials set in Regalia Bay that Kelly had
starred in were very popular. Also, Kelly's elegant look
complemented well with the mansion and the sponsors had decided to
have a contract deal with her as spokesperson.
The
ad filming coincidentally occurs on the same day where there was a
drop in temperature. However, the ad was supposed to be screened in
Spring, and Kelly had to bear with the cold weather even though she
had only recently recovered from her flu. Fortunately, she had
everything prepared and during the breaks, she would immediately
slip into her jacket and drink water from her thermo flask to keep
herself warm. This was the first time that Kelly had the chance to
work with Alex Fong and there was a scene that required them to
dance in the house. Initially, Alex was rather shy but Kelly
suggested to have a rehearsal before the actual shoot. The filming
indeed went on smoothly when they got more familiar. The ad would be
screened on television tonight.
The
unit used for the ad filming was one of the many in the area and
there are 10 rooms solely in that unit. Furthermore, each of them is
designed differently. As Kelly has deep interest in interior decor,
she made a tour in every room during the filming break. She laughed
that setting foot in each room gave her the feeling that she was in
the hotel rooms in different countries because everyone of them are
special. She even imagined that if she have the chance to stay in
the house, it would be similar to having a relaxing holiday abroad.

飲 熱 水 取 暖 。 而 今 次 廣 告 的 男 主 角 是 方
中 信 ， Kelly 首 次 與 他 合 作 ， 但 二 人 需 於
豪 宅 中 拍 攝 跳 舞 場 面 ， 所 以 最 初 大 家 都
有 些 尷 尬 ， 及 後 Kelly 主 動 提 議 大 家 先 排
舞 ， 果 然 熟 絡 後 拍 攝 亦 變 得 非 常 順 利 。
而 這 廣 告 將 於 今 晚 首 播 。
此 外 ， Kelly
今 次 拍 攝 的 場 地 ， 是 該 樓 盤 的 其 中 一 個
單 位 ， 單 是 房 間 便 有 十 間 ，且 每 間 房 都
有 不 同 設 計 ， 由 於 Kelly 本 身 對 室 內 設 計
很 有 興 趣 ， 故 趁 拍 攝 空 檔 ， 她 便 仔 細 去
參 觀 每 間 房 間 。 她 笑 言 每 進 入 一 間 房 就
像 置 身 於 不 同 國 家 的 酒 店 房 間 一 樣 ， 各
有 特 色 ， 更 幻 想 如 果 自 己 能 住 進 去 的 話
， 便 像 到 外 地 度 假 那 麼 悠 然 舒 暢 。

Song For Ad
 
As
the ambassador for 2004 English For Workplace Campaign, Kelly had
attended a road show for the event held yesterday afternoon. During
then, she had made 3 wishes in English in that HK's economy will
boom, everyone will stay healthy and teenagers will be able to learn
proper English.
Kelly
was recently given the role to be the spokesperson for Regalia Bay
and she would even sing an English song for the ad. She had
mentioned that this was not the first time that she had sang a song
in English. The song was initially meant to be in Chinese but they
tried writing English lyrics for the song and found that it turned
out well too. As such, she decided to sing it in English. However,
there will also be a Chinese version and both of them will be in her
upcoming album. When asked if she hoped that the song will be as
popular as Joey Yung's "My Pride", that was also a song
for an apartment ad, Kelly reply was that it will be much harder for
an English song to be popular in HK.
The
filming of her new movie "Big Happening" is at its closing
stages and Kelly expressed that she could be herself again upon
completion. This was because her role as the police superintendent
required her to be loud-mouthed. Fortunately, her boyfriend was very
understanding and that he knew she was only practising her lines in
the movie. Kelly's only wish for now is to cut and dye her hair and
also paint her nails after finishing the movie.

Actors
Injured During Filming
 
Johnny
To's "Big Happening" was at its closing stages of filming
and was at the most important scene in the movie. It describes the
bandit, played by Richie Ren, being surrounded by several policeman.
The police superintendent, played by Kelly, was held hostage by
Richie. The scene required a furious gun fight between the two sides
and also pursuits and car crashes. As this scene lasts for 10
minutes, and the director had wanted it to be a clean take, the
actual filming was only done after two days of rehearsal. Everybody
had to know their part very well before the filming commenced.
However, there were some incidents that caused imperfections to the
scene. The mini bus that was carrying Richie and Kelly had crashed
onto the filming equipment and part of the filmed scenes were not
able to be used.
When
asked if the scene will be retaken, Johnny To answered that it was
not possible because the filming for this movie had already used up
over $400, 000 and it will exceed the budget if there was a re-take.
There would be some differences in what he have initially in mind
but he could only just make do with some added shots to cover the
flaws.

To was however pleased with the actors' work in that they had put in
a lot of effort. They had even got some minor injuries during the
filming. Some ignition capsules that were pasted near to Richie's
mouth caused some injury to his lower face. As for Kelly, she seldom
had the chance to film action movies, and was scared stiff. Besides
having her heart thumping quickly, her face was covered with glass
fragments and fake blood. Although Kelly had felt painful during
that time, she bared with it did not want to make any unnecessary
reactions to affect the whole scene.

挾 持 ， 展 開 一 幕 警 匪 槍 戰 、 汽 車 追 逐 、
撞 車 的 連 環 鏡 頭 ， 由 於 這 個 鏡 頭 長 達 10
分 鐘 ， 導 演 又 要 求 一 Take 過 完 成 ， 所 以 經
過 兩 日 綵 排 ， 演 員 和 臨 時 演 員 都 滾 瓜 爛
熟 才 展 開 拍 攝 。 可 惜 始 終 還 是 發 生 意 外
， 小 齊 被 貼 近 臉 部 的 反 應 彈 彈 傷 下 疤 ，
幸 而 只 是 皮 外 傷 ， 應 不 會 留 有 疤 痕 。
拍 攝 當 日
， 因 吊 臂 和 演 出 的 小 巴 不 慎 撞 到 電 子 機
器 ， 令 部 分 場 面 不 能 使 用 。 問 杜 琪 峯 可
會 重 拍 ﹖ 阿 杜 沒 精 打 采 說 ﹕ 「 這 場 戲 用
了 40 多 萬 ， 不 可 能 重 拍 了 ， 因 已 沒 預 算
費 用 再 拍 了 ， 只 會 補 拍 部 分 以 補 不 足 ，
當 然 會 和 我 原 有 構 思 有 出 入 ﹗ 」

這 個 鏡 頭 是 一 Take 過 ， 所 以 在 小 齊 「 挾 持
」 她 上 一 輛 小 巴 ， 在 小 齊 亂 槍 掃 射 下 ，
小 巴 擋 風 玻 璃 碎 片 打 在 其 臉 上 及 震 耳 欲
聾 的 槍 聲 ， 她 都 只 好 強 忍 ， 因 怕 影 響 拍
攝 。

Conservative
Dressing To Avoid Catching A Cold
 
The
4 pop queens, Kelly Chen, Miriam Yeung, Gigi Leung and Joey Yung had
the chance to perform together on stage on Saturday night's Siu Fong
Fong Charity show. Coincidentally, Miriam and Joey had worn the same
pair of high heels except that they were of different colour. When
asked on her view about wearing the same shoes, Kelly replied that
it proved that the pair of high heels was well-liked by many people.
She would also want to get a pair herself. As to why her dressing
was the most conservative compared to the other three, Kelly laughed
that she had to take care of her health and be careful not to catch
a cold. She was glad that the recent weather was not so cold as she
might need to wear an extra coat instead.

had not made any donations to the charity event but she had helped
out in the performance. Siu
Fong Fong had faxed an invitation to her for the show and Kelly
immediately agreed. Kelly deeply admires Siu Fong Fong's efforts in
her work. However, Kelly does not have any current plans to follow
Siu Fong Fong to organise a show for her own charity fund. She
admitted that she will need to have better appeal and this will need
more time.

冷 病
陳 慧 琳 眼 見 祖 兒 與
千 嬅 撞 鞋 ， 她 說 這 便 證 明 對 鞋 靚 ， 她 都
想 買 一 對 。 有 指 前 晚 她 與 梁 詠 琪 、 容 祖
兒 及 楊 千 嬅 以 天 后 身 分 合 作 演 出 ， 但 衣
著 方 面 以 她 最 密 實 ﹖ 她 笑 言 自 己 剛 病
好 要 保 重 身 體 ， 若 再 冷 病 便 手 尾 長 。 她
亦 慶 幸 冷 氣 不 算 凍 ， 否 則 可 能 著 皮 草 上
陣 。
說 到 今 次 演 出 慈 善
騷 ，Kelly 因 為 本 身 也 有 基 金 會 ， 所 以 只 是
出 力 而 未 有 出 錢 。 芳 芳 親 自 傳 真
邀 請 她 演 出 ， 她 即 時 便 答 應 了，更 非 常
佩 服 芳 芳 做 事 親 力 親 為 。 至 於 她 的 基 金
會 可 會 效 法 「 護 苗 」 搞 籌 款 騷 籌
款 ？ 她 坦 言 搞 籌 款 騷 必 須 要 像 芳 芳 那 麼
有 號 召 力 ， 自 己 還 需 要 時 間 。
