McDonalds Ad

SARS had badly affected the feelings of citizens in Hong Kong. To liven up spirits among the people, McDonalds will release Shake Shake Fries on 1st May. For the ad, the fastfood restaurant had engaged Kelly to starr as the female lead. The ad will be broadcast on television today. In the ad, Kelly will shake her hips while dancing, and catching the attention of guys and girls. Her healthy and approachable image has gained her the role to be the fastfood restaurant's new spokesperson. 

Kelly had previously released merchandise printed with her cartoon character. This time, the paper bag to hold the fries will be printed with the cartoon character as well. You will get to see the cute cartoon shaking while you mix the additives to the fries. The additives will be available in 4 flavours; barberque, spicy oriental, onion cream and seaweed flavours.

SARS令香港陷入谷底，市面蕭條，毫無朝氣。麥當勞於5月1日推出的Shake Shake薯條，並誠邀陳慧琳（Kelly）為拍攝宣傳片女主角，廣告片今日全面推出。Kelly在舞台上一展纖纖小蠻腰跳舞，活力十足，令男女�荌g，而她的健康形象、親切的笑容，是她獲廣告商睇中的原因。

Q版樣子好可愛

Kelly過去曾推出Q版的精品，今次用來盛薯條的紙袋上亦印有Kelly的可愛Ｑ版樣子，讓食客將調味粉放入薯條後，便可以看到Cutie的Kelly在Shake Shake。今次推出的調味粉一共有四款，包括燒烤味、東方辣椒味、白汁蒜香味及和風紫菜味。

Schedule Affected

Kelly, who is presently in America, had initially planned to attend the Taiwan Golden Melody Awards Presentation as well as to film several music videos. However, the Taiwan government had enforced new rules on visitors from countries that are severely affected by SARS. As such, Kelly's schedule for the next two weeks might have great changes.

The reporters managed to contact Kelly's manager and she was also worried after knowing the news. They would most likely cancel the trip if they need to be isolated for 10 days in Taiwan. She revealed that they had scheduled to depart for Taiwan on 1st May and would be staying there for 2 weeks. Kelly had work to do for her Mandarin album besides attending the awards presentation. The isolation period is a waste of time.

Although they had arranged for filming crew, make-up artistes and hairdresser for the shooting, they would not incur heavy loss if it was cancelled. The main problem would be to rearrange Kelly's schedule. She might end up having many holidays. Kelly's brother, Victor, is still in Taiwan filming a drama serial. He has not returned to Hong Kong for a long time. Even though the filming would complete within these few days, he had to stay to record the serial's theme song and carry out promotion. Kelly's manager did not have top worry that much because the SARS condition in Taiwan is not that bad.

陳慧琳陣腳大亂

正在美國開演唱會的陳慧琳（Kelly），原定要去台灣出席《金曲獎》兼拍幾個MV，但受到入境隔離所影響，她未來兩星期的工作計劃大受影響，陣腳大亂。

記者昨日聯絡上Kelly的經理人鍾珍，正在美國陪Kelly開演唱會的她，聽到入台灣境要隔離十日的措施後，大為頭痛。她說：「隔離十日？咁即係唔去得啦，不如留�鰣輕銦C」鍾珍表示，他們原定周四起程赴台，在當地逗留兩個星期，因為Kelly除了出席《金曲獎》做頒獎嘉賓外，還要留低錄音及拍幾首國語歌的MV，連攝製隊、化妝師、髮型師都約好，若然必須要隔離十日，實在是浪費時間，所以如果最後是必須要隔離的話，他們應該會取消台灣行程。

鍾珍無奈的說：「取消唔去台灣應該冇乜損失，但工作計劃要重新部署過，都幾煩，Kelly因為咁情況可能突然多�鱁眼薄C」鍾珍表示，她另一個「仔」陳司翰在台灣拍劇已經一段時期，很久沒有返港，這個劇預計明日會拍完，不過他仍要留在台灣錄主題歌及做宣傳，幸好現時台灣的疫情未算太嚴重，否則她會很擔心。

Love Someone Music Video

The music video for Kelly and Hacken's duet was earlier filmed in a room. To beautify the background of the video, a small pond was laid and most of the shooting was conducted inside. Due to the widespread of SARS, the filming staff had disinfected the water using bleach. They had used 4 bottles of bleaching solution and the whole room was filled with bleaching smell.

The filming was done into the late night and both Hacken and Kelly were completely wet. When the director shouted 'Cut', the staff had immediately handed them towels to keep warm. Kelly appeared extremely cold and the director had given her 4 additional warmth sticks. Even though the filming was hard for Kelly, she still joked that her skin is wrinkled after prolonged soaking in the water. Fortunately, she was satisfied with the result.

Hacken had initially mentioned that there was a bed scene in the video. However, this scene had only showed Kelly sitting on the bed by herself. He later explained that he had not deceived anyone and there were also hugging scenes in the video.

李克勤和陳慧琳（Kelly）合唱《愛一個人》，早前在一間廠房拍攝MV。為了令畫面更富美感，現場放置了一個小水池，二人有不少戲水的片段。由於近期非典型肺炎肆虐，為免水中有病菌，工作人員在池中加入了一支漂白水，但想了一會後覺得不夠，加了一次又一次，結果總共加了四支，整間廠房充滿漂白水的氣味。

雙腳浸到皺

當晚拍攝至深夜，克勤和Kelly混身濕透，故導演一嗌Cut，工作人員即遞上毛巾給他們取暖，尤其是要包裹一雙整晚沉在稀釋漂白水中的腳。克勤是男孩子，比較捱得，但Kelly弱不禁風，明顯感到好辛苦。導演對Kelly亦非常照顧，本來已安排了一支暖管給她，後來發覺她捱不住，即刻臨時找多三支暖管，在四支暖管包圍下，Kelly頓時覺得舒服得多了。浸了整晚水，Kelly笑指浸到皺皮，幸好MV的效果很好都是值得。

克勤曾揚言MV中有�H上戲，但MV內所謂的�H上戲，只Kelly一個人坐在�H上。克勤解釋：「我冇呃大家，MV的確有�H上戲喎，而我同Kelly亦確實有纏綿鏡頭。」

Atlantic City Concert

Kelly's North America concert tour carried on as usual despite the SARS scare as she took a long flight to the US. Her first stop was at Atlantic City and the concert was held on 21st April. Before their travel to the US, Kelly and her crew had done chests X-rays under the requests of the concert organisers in America and Canada. They were able to pass the customs smoothly with the health checkups and Kelly had worn her mask throughout the journey on the plane.

As the concert at Atlantic City started at 2am, Kelly was worried that the audience might feel sleepy. However, not long after the concert began, most of them stood up and clapped their hands while dancing. She had also asked the audience whether they felt sleepy. Kelly felt that the audience's response was better than her previous concert. As her Can Can dress was supposed to be donned on her wax mannequin, Kelly had prepared another dress for her concert tour.

由 於 今 次 演 出 為 凌 晨 2 時 ， 她 本 擔 心 觀 眾 會 眼 �� ， 但 開 場 不 久 ， 觀 眾 均 站 立 拍 手 跳 舞 ， 她 還 問 觀 眾 ﹕ 「 你 們 會 不 會 眼 �� ﹖ 今 次 反 應 要 比 上 次 更 好 哩 。 」 她 本 身 所 穿 該 件 肯 肯 舞 衣 ， 因 為 會 穿 在 她 的 蠟 像 身 上 ， 故 她 巡 迴 演 出 便 換 了 另 一 件 新 舞 衣 。

Hacken Thanks Kelly

Recently, Hacken Lee had invited Kelly to sing a duet with him and they had filmed the music video for the song on Tuesday evening. Kelly had specially brought with her two pairs of skirts for the filming. As both of them needed to get wet in the video, they had brought along extra clothes as well. The constructed filming site prohibited outsiders from entering. The area was disinfected prior to filming and the shooting process was carried out smoothly. 

Hacken had said that he was thankful that Kelly had not rejected his offer on the duet. The male celebrities that Kelly had worked with are handsome except him. Working with Gigi Leung was a good experience. This time, he was even more delighted working with Kelly. Hacken praised Kelly to be professional and a punctual female celebrity without any negative news. She is like a inviolable goddess to him. There are no intimate scenes in the music video and they do not need to worry about any contagious diseases.

On the other hand, Kelly was more afraid getting wet and exposing herself on camera. However it was for work and it did not matter. The staff had done thorough cleaning of the area and she was not worried of any SARS danger.

The song describes a pair of couple having complaints about each other. Kelly mentioned that the lyrics partly describes herself because her boyfriend usually complains that she had to travel frequently. He had to know her whereabouts from newspapers and television and only get to talk to her through the telephone. As a result, Kelly said that she only sees the good points about Alex!

與 男 友 各 有 埋 怨

《 愛 》 曲 講 述 一 對 情 侶 各 自 對 另 一 半 有 埋 怨 ， Kelly 坦 言 有 少 許 是 自 己 心 聲 ， 因 為 男 友 常 怨 她 周 圍 飛 ， 唯 有 看 報 章 、 電 視 才 知 其 行 蹤 ， 大 家 只 用 電 話 聯 繫 。 由 於 少 見 面 關 係 ， Kelly 稱 就 只 看 到 男 友 的 優 點 ， 並 沒 有 缺 點 呢 ﹗

Mannequin Placement Delayed

Kelly's wax mannequin was initially scheduled to be placed in the wax museum yesterday. The organisers had arranged for 10 fans to be present for the event with Kelly. However due to widespread SARS, the event had to be postponed to May.

The figure is the seventh to be made for a local in Hong Kong and will be placed with other personalities like Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh. Kelly will also donate her favourite outfit to be donned on the mannequin. The organisers had considered the possibility of a large crowd gathering to see Kelly for the event. It was unwise during this time and they finally decided to postpone it. Kelly had also agreed to their decision because safety is most important. She will make plans to accommodate the event in May.

陳 慧 琳 的 蠟 像 原 本 昨 日 在 山 頂 的 倫 敦 杜 莎 夫 人 蠟 像 館 面 世 。 大 會 並 安 排 了 十 位 Fans 與 Kelly 同 出 席 蠟 像 揭 幕 活 動 。 但 受 到 非 典 型 肺 炎 的 陰 霾 影 響 ， 活 動 被 迫 取 消 。 Kelly 的 假 身 延 至 五 月 才 能 現 身 。

Kelly 的 蠟 像 是 第 七 個 特 別 為 香 港 分 館 而 製 的 本 地 名 人 蠟 像 ， 與 成 龍 、 楊 紫 瓊 與 李 嘉 誠 並 列 。 Kelly 亦 特 別 捐 出 她 最 喜 愛 的 服 飾 給 蠟 像 穿 上 。 她 與 Fans 也 期 待 與 Kelly 的 假 身 近 距 離 接 觸 。 由 於 現 在 是 非 典 型 肺 炎 的 非 常 時 間 ， 有 關 方 面 顧 慮 到 Kelly 的 出 現 會 吸 引 很 多 人 聚 集 ， 故 決 定 將 蠟 像 的 揭 幕 儀 式 延 期 ， Kelly 也 贊 同 此 安 排 ， 因 為 安 全 最 緊 要 。 她 會 在 工 作 調 配 方 面 盡 量 遷 就 ， 親 身 出 席 五 月 中 的 揭 幕 活 動 。

Own Antiseptic Soap

Kelly's Mandarin album will be released next month. Presently at this time where the SARS scare is at its peak, Kelly had made her way to Taiwan for the album recording. Kelly had brought along her slippers to wear in the recording studio and antiseptic soap so that she could wash her hands after every activity to prevent SARS infection.

Most of the HK stars have worn masks everywhere they go. However, Kelly was exceptional. She only wore her masks on the planes and when there were any open activities where fans are around, she will remove it. She understands that her fans had waited just to see her. If she was to wear a mask, her fans would not be able to see her face and take a complete picture of her. As such, she would take the risk rather than to let her fans see her as a "Masked Rider".

It has been almost a year from her previous Mandarin album "Love Is Here". During this time, Kelly has been busy traveling to and fro Taiwan to complete the recording of the album and hoping that the album will be released as scheduled in May.

Fortunately, the SARS situation in Taiwan is not as widespread as HK and Kelly has less to worry about while singing.

Tribute To Leslie Cheung

Before Kelly had entered showbiz, she had got to know Leslie Cheung through her boyfriend's introduction. During yesterday's TVB JSG selections rehearsal, Kelly had mentioned that her boyfriend, Alex, was very upset after Leslie's death. He was at home and had kept singing Leslie's songs. 

Kelly, together with a bunch of other singers, were the first to use the new TVB studio for the recording of the JSG selections. Following that, most of them stayed behind for the live broadcast of the Tribute to Leslie Cheung. Kelly had sang Leslie's "Chase" and said that she was unable to accompany her boyfriend for Leslie's funeral because she had to go to Taiwan for work.

Wax Mannequin Ready Soon

Last year, Kelly was selected by Madame Tussaud's as the seventh famous people in HK to have her wax mannequin made and displayed in the HK branch museum. The mannequin is closed to its completion stage and will be transported by air to HK on 15th April.

The sculptor is currently making the eyes and colouring of the skin of the mannequin. The manager for the HK branch museum had also revealed that Kelly had donated her favourite outfit to be donned on the mannequin. There will also be a contest to guess the first outfit to be displayed.

陳 慧 琳 去 年 接 受 香 港 杜 莎 夫 人 蠟 像 館 的 邀 請 ， 有 幸 成 為 香 港 分 館 製 作 的 第 七 名 本 地 名 人 蠟 像 。 目 前 Kelly 蠟 像 已 接 近 完 成 階 段 ， 並 將 於 4 月 15 日 空 運 到 香 港 山 頂 蠟 像 館 展 出 。

目 前 蠟 像 館 的 倫 敦 雕 塑 師 正 為 Kelly 蠟 像 進 行 最 後 階 段 工 序 ， 包 括 眼 睛 製 作 、 植 髮 及 面 部 上 色 等 。 香 港 分 館 總 經 理 傅 漢 華 透 露 ， Kelly 特 別 捐 出 最 喜 愛 及 印 象 深 刻 的 服 飾 給 她 的 蠟 像 穿 上 ， 更 會 舉 辦 競 猜 Kelly 蠟 像 服 飾 遊 戲 。

No Protective Mask For Kelly

Most of Kelly's recent functions in HK were affected by the SARS outbreak and had to be cancelled including the promotion work for MacDonalds restaurant. However, Kelly still went to Shenzhen as scheduled for the stars SMS event organised by Stareast net. Kelly was not seen wearing any protective mask for the event. On the other hand, her manager and the HK reporters who were present all wore masks.

Although Kelly had not worn a protective mask, she did come prepared with her own cover for the microphone. Kelly had also kept a distance from the reporters interviewing her. Some reporters had wanted to go on stage but were stopped by the securities. Kelly had later explained that she does wear a protective mask during her daily life but it was inconvenient for her to do so while she is working. Kelly had also taken various vitamins and herbal soup prepared by her mother to strengthen her body's immunisation against the virus. When she reaches home, she will always do a full body clean up at least 2 to 3 times after the events. Would she have less interaction with her fans? Kelly laughed that she was probably carrying the virus herself and the fans would have to clean up after touching her.

The North America concert tour held in April will carry on as usual. If she was looked upon suspiciously by the customs, she had only to blame on the virus in HK. The only solution for the people in HK is to be more concerned in their hygiene.

現身深圳不戴口罩

Kelly （ 陳 慧 琳 ） 除 未 戴 口 罩 外 ， 都 有 做 足 防 預 措 施 ， 如 在 咪 上 加 上 咪 套 ， 及 與 台 下 中 港 記 者 保 持 距 離 。 縱 使 有 記 者 想 上 台 ， 保 安 即 緊 張 阻 止 。 事 後 Kelly 解 釋 平 時 都 有 戴 口 罩 ， 但 出 席 活 動 不 方 便 戴 。 由 於 昨 晚 在 深 圳 還 有 音 樂 會 演 出 ， 她 除 帶 備 私 家 咪 套 ， 又 食 維 他 命 丸 及 母 親 的 湯 水 療 程 打 底 。 她 每 次 出 席 活 動 返 家 都 會 由 頭 洗 到 落 腳 ， �} 兩 、 三 次 涼 。 在 音 樂 會 上 會 否 少 與 歌 迷 接 觸 ﹖ 她 笑 言 可 能 自 己 帶 菌 ， 歌 迷 掂 她 都 要 洗 臉 。

月 底 赴 美 開 巡 迴 演 唱 會

4 月 底 Kelly 會 到 美 國 舉 行 巡 迴 演 唱 會 ， 會 如 期 出 發 。 會 否 擔 心 被 拒 入 境 ﹖ 她 說 就 算 是 都 不 關 她 事 。 對 於 香 港 人 受 歧 視 ﹖ 她 說 誰 叫 香 港 最 多 菌 ﹗ 唯 有 注 重 個 人 衛 生 ， 令 病 菌 消 失 ， 洗 脫 罪 名 。
