Other than the
concert, this trip to HK was really great because of this
"Kelly Day" that made it so special. Here, I will like
to thank the HK fans who have spend almost half a day walking with
us, especially CC and Ah Keong.
Me,
gaozai and pkh arrived earliest at Wanchai MTR station where
we were supposed to meet CC and the overseas fans. We were the
first there and so we went to the bakery in the station and bought
bread for breakfast and also to the mini mart to get the
newspapers for reports on yesterday night's concert. I bought 3
different papers, Appledaily, Mingpao and Orientaldaily. Shortly,
we met Stefan (fan from Germany) who had also came and we had a
chat. Stefan got to know Kelly through her movie Lavender when it
was shown in Germany. He is rather familiar with HK (at least more
familiar than I do) as he goes there frequently to get Kelly's
stuff. It's really great to see that Kelly has so many fans from
around the world! When
the rest of the people including CC were here, we took a group
picture before setting off. Haha... Look, the Kelly sign looks
"sacred" and even glows in the picture. First
place CC brought us to was Kelly's secondary school Rosaryhill
School. It was rather tiring to climb up the steep path to the
school (Most people would not do that because they come up by
transport and not on foot like us..)
Reaching
the top, we stopped by for our second group picture of the day.
Too bad the security guard was only willing to help us take only
one photograph. As there were too many cameras, we ended up taking
the pictures by ourselves.
Do
you still remember this scene in the movie Lost and Found? It does
not look too clear though. But if you did, Kelly and Takeshi were
chasing Michael Wong down the slope and later Takeshi crashed on
to a bicycle.
Here
is the picture I took from the bottom of the slope (Another
tedious climb up the slope..) Taking
a bus to Causeway Bay, we proceeded to Aaron Kwok's Studio Cafe.
This is where Kelly frequents for dances and she is also a regular
patron for the cafe's cheesecake! The second picture shows Kelly
signing her name on the poster pasted at the cafe entrance (doing
promotion for the cafe eh?) If I'm in HK the next time, I will try
the cheesecake. =)

The
next two places we went to was Da Da (Celia's boutique) and Hair
salon. The Da Da shop located at Causeway Bay was more strict in
that we were told by the shop tenders not to take pictures of the
shop.
If you have time
and want to get your hair done like Kelly's, maybe you could drop
by at Hair salon. Lol Besides this one located in Causeway Bay,
there is another branch at Festival Walk. Again, the outlet is
seen with a poster of Kelly's Dynacarnival Concert. Wonder how
many times have I seen the poster already...
Ever wondered how
a recording studio looks like? It was a pity that they don't
welcome visits and you are not able to see the interior decor of
the studio looks like. Oh well, but then I still did not matter as
I already longed to see where is Moon Studio!!! This is Moon
Studio (Kelly's long partner and producer, Mark Lui, is the owner
of this recording studio) and various singers like Kelly, Leon
Lai, Andy Hui, Candy Lo, Miriam Yeung, etc come here for their
song recordings.
Walking
to our next destination at Central, we stopped at two more movie
locations for Kelly's movies And I Hate You So and Lavender. They
include: 1.
Lunar's apartment in And I Hate You So.
1.
2. Athena's fragrant shop
in Lavender.
2.
3.
Staunton's Wine Bar + Cafe where Lunar is frequently seen typing
her column articles on her laptop. 3.
Dropping off at
Jordan MTR station, we went to the other studio that Kelly does
her album recordings, Q-Sound Studio. The corridors of the
building are very cramp (At most 2 people can walk side by side).
The elevator of the building is also peculiarly styled and it
looks somewhat like a fridge and you have to open the door of the
elevator yourself.
 The
final stop for the tour was Yau Ma Tei Police Station. In the
movie, Metade Fumaca, Kelly was seen walking to and fro the police
station while Nicholas was spying on her.
At last,
our mission was accomplished with an end picture in front of Yau
Ma Tei Police Station. One, two, three.. say cheese. Although, it
was a tiring day for everyone doing so much walking in a hot day, it
was a wonderful and rare experience for overseas fans like us. That
night, we went for Kelly's concert again but this time we were
seated at the $150 area. Thanks to Lisa, we managed to get last
minute tickets to the show. Coincidentally, two other HK fans I
knew (Cynthia and Patrick) were sitting on the same row with
us. Seeing
the stage from the top was a different sight. At times, you can
view Kelly preparing herself in the middle rotating
stage before being raised up. Also, Kelly was much closer to us
when she sat on the Kellyland sedan moving round the Coliseum. The
concert did not last as long as the first night and the videos for
The Touch and The Powerpuff Girls Movie were shortened. Alan Tam
was the guest for the night in which he and Kelly sang Paisley
Galaxy together. To be
continued... |
