Part 4 Concert II

Day 4 - 12th July Friday Continued...

The excitement to the concert had just started. 4 of the acrobats from the Russian circus came on and brought magnificent feats hanging fearlessly on the white cloths from the 4 sides of the coliseum. They were well received by the audience and were cheered as they swung from side to side.

It's a wonder

The short performance followed with the rocking music of ASK. Kelly, with a group of dancers dressed in red, rose from the middle of the stage. Kelly was dressed in Bohemian style and worn a furry hat that reminded me of a skunk... At the end of her song, Kelly told the audience that she had spent a fortune for the translucent pants that she was wearing. She carried on asking them if they could see it clearly. "NO" came the reply from the crowd as everyone wanted her to come nearer to show them.

Unable to satisfy every corner of the coliseum, she decided to get on to the rail track with her special Kellyland sedan. Those seated at the 150 and 80 areas waved at her as she made her way around the stadium. Kelly continued singing her other tunes like Care Too Much About You, This Is Our First Love and It's All Your Fault while hanging in the air.

Hanging in the air

Completing her round, Kelly was relieved to get back safely on ground again. The music of Memorial Day sounded and Kelly introduced her first guest for the night. It was no other than her brother, Victor! Victor had brought a stalk of rose for Kelly but he was later laughed at by her sister. This was because the rose had withered after Victor got too nervous and held the rose too tightly. Kelly had later frowned and laughed frequently at the rose while singing the song.

After being asked by Kelly about the withered rose, Victor changed the topic and said  he felt that Kelly was too sexily dressed. Victor continued to ask the audience whether should Kelly be more or less sexy. The crowd gave the opposite answer and everyone wanted a sexy Kelly! Kelly retuned the question and said that Victor should also be more sexy and she tried to unbutton his shirt but Victor was too shy and backed off. While Kelly had went backstage to change (to some thing more sexy as Victor mentioned), Victor took over the stage and sang his song Rotating Doors. In the middle of his song, Victor did mention to confirm we are fans from Singapore when our group was waving the "Singapore" sign board (oh well but Kelly did not mention anything even though she saw the sign...)

Kelly retuned in her new costume singing Lavender. After that, she carried on with If We Are In Love and Ice Chamber which was another song in her new album.

It was Can Can time and singing Friday Profile, Kelly, together with another male dancer, went on to the piano and did several sleek hot dance movements. The male dancer carried Kelly and lowered her back on his arm. With his other hand, he lifted Kelly's left leg and this made loud wows from the audience.

Through out the song, ss Kelly danced and lifted her skirt, her legs were revealed and there were again constant wows from the crowd . Not to worry, Kelly had later mentioned that she had already done all necessary precautions wearing the special shorts that Celia had made for her. What was not supposed to be seen will not be. Haha

The middle revolving stage rose and Kelly retuned in white Givenchy suit with Doraemon! What else could Kelly be singing with Doraemon at this time? It was of course the theme song to the cartoon. Occasionally, she had even changed some parts of the lyrics to the song like "Look, there is Cheung Yiu Weng (the concert organiser)" One thing I noted was that Kelly had enjoyed putting her hands into Doraemon's pocket found on his front tummy. =p

Next came Cybercat as the group came from the side of the stage and went around the Coliseum shaking hands with the audience. The dancers followed them and had went around distributing gifts to the crowd.

For the last attraction, the long awaited Power Puff Girls finally came on stage. Kelly was so happy and excited to see them and had even hugged and danced with them. Seems like she became the 4th Powerpuff Girl =p. Singing Lucky Day and Color Of Love,

The 4 Power Puff Girls?

Kelly started the usual concert hand shake session for the night. Everyone immediately rushed forward hoping to get a chance. My Macua friend as usual got the chance to shake Kelly's hand before I did. Hehe. Well then, I still managed to get my chance later.

Shaking hands with the audience

Kelly and me in the pictureThat's me giving the Pucca soft toy that we bought in Singapore. Initially, Kelly failed to see me going to the side of the stage. I had to follow her making my way past the first row and almost to the middle section. She finally saw me and came over to take the toy. Oops... my left hand was occupied carrying the camera and had brought up my right hand instead to shake with Kelly. Kelly did a smart maneuver of her left hand and managed to shake mine although it was at a slightly awkward position. Feeling  embarrassed for disturbing the audience at the front row, I quickly returned to my seat. I was still happy and satisfied that the toy was given to Kelly and getting the chance to shake her hand for the third time (first in HK Paisley Galaxy Concert and second in the 2001 Genting concert).

Kelly's next costume was a Valentino red evening gown. At the end of her low V-neck was a small butterfly knot. As the glowing winged chair revolved, Kelly sang her recent hit song Fortunate. I would feel that this was the best live performance of Fortunate Kelly has done.

Am I fortunate?

Everyone had anticipated for Kelly to appear again but the second guest came on stage instead. The audience were surprised to see Cantopop Queen Anita Mui as she sang It Is Such. After her song, Kelly finally came back on stage. An amusing scene happened when Kelly thought that Anita's right shoulder strap had came down and Kelly adjusted it back for her. However, Kelly was later told by Anita that it was intentional... There was no Hawa Hawa (their latest song in Anita's With album) but Kelly and Anita sang her oldie Dream Partner together.

Touching moments

The next part got rather emotional as Kelly churned out her old songs like Who Wish To Release and Wind Flower Snow. Just before announcing her last song for the night before the Encore, Kelly gave her thanks to everyone who has came for the night. What could be better than to end of in her song Beloved Concert.

Cheers for encore sounded as the crowd wanted more. Kelly did not disappoint them. She appeared from the other end of the side platform on the similar elevated carriage in the opening of the concert. Kelly was dressed in red hot sexy mini singlet from Jean Paul Gaultier and Dada red jeans. She then frequently twisted her hips to the music of Don't Stop and displayed her fit and slim 23 inch waistline.

As the metal carriage lowered at the middle of the stage, fireworks underneath the carriage went on creating a spectacular sight. As the fireworks hissed and died off, the carriage finally landed. Kelly came down from the side steps and sang Love Nerves.

Letting her hair down

The party had just started as Kelly requested the audience to stand and dance with her. Most of the audience did as told and Kelly brought on her final two songs Paisley Galaxy and Unforgettable Weekend. Those seated on the sides had even got wet from the water that was sprayed by the dancers from the drink bottles. The fun finally ended at 11:45 pm as the lights to the stadium came on again.

There was a large crowd outside the Coliseum Me, Gaozai and Jenny went to where Kelly's car was parked and we waited for her. I was surprised that there were already concert photos (but only photos from the first two costumes) sold on the first night of concert. I got for myself a set consisting of several 3Rs and 2 8Rs photos.
